What if @bot didn’t announce this feature and just let it be discovered by their bots? Would be a legendary launch idea! @poteto @mattyp @elonmusk

and here come the agents
spotted in the wild: our first instance this morning of an Instinct agent signing up for our product it created an account, navigated the onboarding flow, grabbed the API key, and started making requests to our endpoints

The US government can’t regulate robo calls or spam. And (some) people think they can regulate AI?

Coming soon: timewaster. For the longest time, I've wanted a way to waste the time of people who spam my inbox with spammy cold emails. Well, now there's a solution. timewaster uses AI to design replies that will waste the time of those who spam us. It's time to fight back.

Personal AI assistants are here
Too many AI personal assistants, too little time to assess all of them. Nice work here: assistantbenchmark.com

To my friends at OpenAI: I want to seamlessly switch between my personal and professional accounts on my phone. It’s annoying to log out and then back in. Please resolve this mild but irritating inconvenience. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

You can get 95% of the results you want by calmly putting one foot in front of the other. One former Navy SEAL friend texted me a principle used in their training: “Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.”

Costco protects the integrity of its institution by asking people to show proof of membership before entering the facility. Elections should run on the same logic.

ChatGPT Work can now use its computer and browser to sign in to websites on web and mobile, without ChatGPT ever seeing your username or password. That means you can ask it to: • Set up utilities for a new apartment • Book a DMV or passport appointment • Check reimbursement costs through your insurance • Find and book an in-network doctor around your availability • Check when your car registration expires and prepare the renewal paperwork • Compare your rental insurance policy with an issue you’re emailing your landlord about • Find and save apartment listings that match your criteria • Restock something just by uploading a photo • Schedule a package pickup for a return • Cancel tickets for a rescheduled trip • Book a vet appointment • Submit reimbursement paperwork for medical treatments • Check resale sites for new drops and save things you might like • Find candidates with specific experience and draft outreach • Take invoices from your email and submit them to your accounting software • Draft replies to rental property inquiries • Fill out permit applications for your small business • Add action items to a vendor portal based on a recent client call • Analyze the latest ad campaign for your small business

Let’s get to the bottom of it
NEW: I am investigating avocado oil products for deceptive marketing and for the potential use of undisclosed seed oils.

Today’s Grok Bot task: Go save me money on my AT&T bill. Old bill: $468/mo New bill: $424/mo Plus it got my iPad and Apple Watch cellular added for free (additional $30 value). It took a few tries and my bot experienced first-hand getting dropped by the AT&T chat “live agents” after spending time negotiating the deal. 😂 We got 3 separate bill totals, but finally landed the one above. All said and done, Grok Bot is saving me real money.

It’s insane how xAI was basically not a contender and now they’re right back in the race. I honestly can’t believe it. I thought they were toast and it was a two-horse race.

Since the launch of ChatGPT, the Philippines offshore industry (8% of country’s GDP) has actually grown much bigger. Employment in IT and business outsourcing is up by +20% to 1.9m workers and industry revenue is up +30% to $42B. “AI is helping offshore workers in the Philippines do new, more complex jobs. They are picking up work training AI models or supervising AI agents. Hospitals in America are increasingly outsourcing the checking of insurance eligibility and filing of medical records to Filipinos packing AI tools. Mr Gallimore says more “high-value” work, such as accountancy or engineering, is going offshore in part because “AI is a leveller. You can now teach someone complex stuff quickly” and still get it done more cheaply than in America or Europe.” *** More here: economist.com/asia/2026/08/0…
