Christian Nationalism is neither American nor Christian. In fact, it is in direct opposition to both.
You can be both Christian and American. But to support a political movement that aims to promote and favor one religion over all others, is not American and is not how Jesus spread his teachings.
If your aim is to have a country that better aligns with the teachings of Jesus, let's start with caring for the sick, the poor, the oppressed, and the foreigners in our land. I assure you, those things would do infinitely more to reflect the teachings of Jesus than planting a cross on the American flag and calling it a day.
The Rededication 250 event is filled with harmful revisionist history. Speakers pined for a return to their Christian faith being intertwined with our government. While I think faith can be beautiful, it's important to acknowledge the men who have used religion to gain power, mistreat non-citizens, justify slavery and take voting rights away from women throughout our country's history (including today). Prayers are just empty words if your actions don't also reflect the love, compassion and sense of justice that Jesus preached.
I’ve probably seen Forrest Gump more than any other movie (I worked at Bubba Gump in Hollywood for years, so that definitely played a part). But the reason I worked there in the first place was because I loved that movie so much. Needless to say, this was surreal to see! Thanks for watching @GarySinise
Trump supporters who identify as Christians - please comment and let me know SPECIFICALLY how Trump’s behavior is Christ-like.

Actors like @TheJordanRoss give so much to their characters. And sometimes, their characters give back.
Watch more of Jordan’s reflection now on The Chosen Aftershow on “The Chosen” app.
“It’s time to get on to something else” re: victims of child molestation, rape and sex trafficking.
Telling a woman she doesn’t smile enough.
The condescension, the dismissiveness, the temper, the deflecting, the disrespect, the lies, the misogyny, the downplaying, the narcissm. I could go on and on. How is anyone okay with this behavior from the president of the United States?
Genuinely asking, if you support him, how do you defend this? Don’t hide, don’t be silent. Either denounce and stand up against this repulsive behavior or own it. Your silence is louder than you think - and it’s incredibly disappointing.

Begging you not to let Wael’s story get lost amidst all the horrors.
He was a 30 year old disabled man. His dad was his full time caregiver.
ICE took him away.
Wael said it would kill him. He said the fear was “real & immediate”.
He died last week. ICE killed Wael.

I want there to be no doubt. If Laken Riley was killed by ICE, Anna would've danced on her grave. She doesn't care about her. She only cares about the circumstances.
Laken Riley's killer is in prison, where he should be. Renee Good and Alex Pretti's murderers are walking free.

Five years ago this doofus publicly offered free legal services to Kyle Rittenhouse, a kid who brought an *illegal* loaded firearm to a protest & then killed two people with it. The raging & mindless hypocrisy & dishonesty of Trump’s admin are just utterly boundless.
Kash Patel: "You cannot bring a firearm, loaded, with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. It's that simple. You don't have a right to break the law." (Pretti was carrying a gun legally.)

Under the Second Amendment and MN Stat. 624.714, permit holders may legally carry firearms in public, including during protests. The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that public carry is a constitutional right. Carrying a firearm does not legally constitute "inciting violence."

Really great video that directly showcases the various white supremacist dog whistles of the current administration, def retweet and send to folks you know
The Trump administration has rolled out a campaign across departments that draws on images and ideas borrowed from right-wing and white nationalist circles.
@ElizLanders reports.

Renee Good should still be here.
She was a beloved child of God, with inherent value and infinite worth.
She was murdered by her own government in broad daylight in what is supposed to be the greatest democracy on the planet.

Tapper to Noem: "I just showed you video of people attacking law enforcement officers on January 6. Undisputed evidence, and I just said, President Trump pardoned all of them. You said that President Trump is enforcing all the laws equally. That's just not true. There's a different standard for law enforcement officers being attacked if they're being attacked by Trump supporters. We just saw that."

This is the administration that calls everything fake: the law is fake, the media is fake, and even what you see with your own eyes is fake.
That’s how you train people to stop trusting democracy itself and start accepting rule by impulse instead of the rule of law.

AOC: “I understand that VP Vance believes shooting a young mother of three in the face three times is an acceptable America that he wants to live in, and I do not. That is a fundamental difference between VP Vance and I. I do not believe the American people should be assassinated in the street.”
