On now: ancient #vinyl on a fettled record player, rawer and better than ever.
Speed & Power mag #37 Nov 1974 (10p) article on TSR.2. Enjoyed seeing it @cosfordairshow recently. Found every issue of S&P in my loft. Had centrefold aircraft posters on my bedroom walls. @CcibChris @BlickyIan @ron_eisele
Whenever you were 17, that was the best year for music. #TOTP Skids, Gloria Gaynor, Queen, Chic, BGs. I rest my case.

Obscure but good Christmas #vinyl This copy was literally a Christmas present from a band member, bought at auction a couple of years ago.
Vinyl from 1963, mellow, played on 6 record players: bulky 50s radiogram; 60s radiogram, spindly legs; 70s Hitachi music centre; two 80s turntables - Dual CS 505-1 & Rega Planar 3; now on a Linn LP12. Trip down the decades with fond memories of 5 generations past and present.
In #doric Sots fishermen called them lowper dowgs - jumping dog(fish)

Note how (12 secs in) even at 7 years old I knew how to feign one way then go the other to get past my opponent.🤣
Glorious uncovered footage from the summer of 1971 in Hopeman with my friends Jeffrey and Raymond More.

Today’s #DoricWordoftheDay is “dug”.
“Dug”: dog.
Example: “Is aat yer dug?”
(Is that your dog?)

Quite enjoyed a couple of Genesis albums today, Trick of the Tail 1976 but preferred And Then There Were Three 1978 which I knew well courtesy of Rob Mustard when it came out. Fine for a sleety, fluey day.
