The evidence is clear: independent media boosts economies, helps fight corruption, strengthens human rights, counters disinformation and can even save lives.
New research commissioned by @UNESCO, @dw_akademie & the @TheIntlFund makes the case for journalism as a public good.

The International Fund has issued a new Open Call for proposals for grant support for independent media in Ukraine, Moldova and Armenia.
Individual grants will be awarded to media organizations with grant amounts calibrated to organizational size, capacity and demonstrated need.
In Lebanon, reporting the truth can mean legal harassment, disinformation campaigns, and political pressure.
