So Rothaniel was 100% as good as advertised. I don’t know if his craft found another level at the moment he was ready to speak his truth, or if withholding a bit of himself had hidden the true enormity of his talent, but… wow. Wow

It's late and maybe I'll delete this in the morning, but I'm as down about baseball as I have ever been. 1981, 1994, Donnie's last game, the Jeff Weaver game...nothing ever felt like this. The owners control access to baseball and they *do not care* whether we have a 2022 season.

Honestly? If Gatorade branded pickle juice was on the aisle, I’d try it 🤷🏼‍♂️

Pickle juice, in a world where Gatorade does millions of dollars in research on this exact topic.

“Change the rules of the game to make a position preeminent” is just such a weird take. Change the rules for a better, more compelling product — not to be sure starting pitchers are always and forever the most important players even if the game wants to evolve.

There is a desperate need for the MLB, the Players Association to talk about all the pitching changes, and restoring the preeminence of the starting pitchers. It'd be better for the product, it'd be better for the union, given the importance of starters in setting market prices.
I enjoyed Ted Lasso trying to do the Hoosiers speech way too much 😂

Today’s superlative newsletter was a reminder that Major League Baseball would be better if the folks making decisions loved the game as much as @joe_sheehan

Anyone have a favorite Humphrey Bogart movie that isn't Casablanca or The Maltese Falcon?

Eight years ago I traveled to Athens, Greece to watch Giannis play, conduct his first ever interview in English and attempt to help tell the beginning of his story. I loved his talent and background; it's incredible to see what he's developed into since. draftexpress.com/article/NBA…
