Basic Unit’s Timeline is hereby on your ditto

And we’re off for the remainder 🥳

Anyone else on the floor pile tip this fine Sunday?

Ahmad Jamal in all his funky electric piano splendour in 1973

We’re heading to Africa for the November edition of the Eclectic Corner @MadWaspRadioMWR - an afro-funk, beat, disco feast to heat up your living room, kitchen or wherever you’re getting your monthly dose of my record collection

One of the best vocal house tracks of recent years if you ask me - which of course you didn’t :) in any case this is Ghost Assembly’s I Miss Your Love - kind of track that could be reissued by @darkentriesrecs in some far flung future :)

唐獅子牡丹, Akira Miyazawa - pure Japanese Morricone / Nino Rota inspired funky grooves from start to finish. I know I’ve posted this before but it’s just too good to miss. Reissue on King Records

I trust you’re good to go when the Eclectic Corner grooves out @MadWaspRadioMWR tonight at 7pm BST. Oh such vibes in which to indulge

The October Eclectic Corner is upon us and goes out @MadWaspRadioMWR tonight at 7pm BST. I’ve got a delicious three 12s menu lined up for your discerning ears and feet. Ingredients provided by Pete Blaker

If you’re in the mood for a dose of classic dubstep, you could consider tuning in to @KAAAATE22’s Dark Train show tonight. We (dub)step out from UFO Central (Warminster Community Radio) y MINERVA Radio at 2200 BST//1800 ART. Hope you can join us!

Thomas Almqvist’s Nyanser is a great example of everything that is right about music

So this pretty much sums up our Sunday so far - enjoy yours!

Have a great weekend everyone

Had totally forgotten about this absolute peach of a track from my London years, Benga Benga 1. Think a high life track produced by Adonis on Trax back in the day. Raw perfection

Proper autumnal vibes today, think the summer has bowed out for this year. Thankfully we have music to keep us warm, here’s Venezuela 70, a blinder of a compilation from Soul Jazz

Ronnie April’s Positive Energy Volume 1 doing rounds, Voices and Horns in a Contemporary Setting. Good stuff!

The Three Sounds’ Soul Symphony @bluenoterecords just the tonic you need

Booked for a 5h set in Copenhagen in a few weeks time

Friday! Celebrating with Sonny Rollins Vol 2 @bluenoterecords - an album crammed with legends
