I’ve lost track of how many times this has happened at this intersection. @LouPubWorks why won’t you do something about the dangerous streets in Old Louisville? Do we have to wait until there’s multiple deaths?

Towns built compactly are not only more alive and easier to get around, but also have views from the center of town out into the surrounding countryside, an experience exceptionally rare in American sprawl that rolls on seemingly forever. But we could build this way.
I've been grinding my teeth each time one of the dentists from ProEnamel pitch their paste in their monotone, vocal fry speech in their commercials. AI (?) CGI ? as the last 3 dentists they have aired speak the same way. not alone - reddit.com/r/CommercialsIHat…

A quick look at the south Meridian St. connectivity upgrades. A road diet with curb bump outs allows a wide multi-modal path, landscaping, and expanded sidewalks. The Old Southside is a neighborhood to watch.

This is brilliant! Thank you for sharing -- gotta get this going on up in our neighborhood!

Actually, people sitting on the porch bench/bench rail sit facing in, at the people seated along the wall facing out. In this pic it's subtle, but in The Bahamas, many of them have backs, and some project nearly a foot beyond the outside edge of the porch.

Only one 3-building cluster of this entire multi-block area remains today. Most of the productive architecture has been replaced by wealth-sucking parking lots.

No discussion of multi-modal transport is serious without these two at the top. And walking, biking, and their cousins are the only modes that come with built-in fitness. Encourage these, and many good things follow.

HUGE news. Another expansion of the @INCulturalTrail announced, connecting downtown with the westside. Super proud of my coworkers who helped bring the Henry St. bridge design to fruition.
