There's absolutely no reason GTAVI should be on disc other than for the mentally ill hoarders to look at the box on their shelves. That's it. That's all they want it for.
In 2027 they should release #gtavı on physical media and charge $200 for it and then see how badly these physical media hoarders want it.

Basically, you didn't list a single reason not to play it. If you're still playing GTAV to this day....you would be planning to buy and play it like the rest of us who still do (or are new to it). The things you mentioned are totally pointless.

I've lost all interest in GTA6
I haven't really watched a whole lot about it...
But the lack of physical media, the ignorance of Rockstar as a company, and the fact that GTA5 is gonna be hard as shit to top...
All that paired with the amount of time it's taken...
Just really don't care at this point.
You're way off base with this take. A game that cost over $1 billion to create over 11 years....with an 80 hour story, endless places to explore and entertainment to be had. People still play GTAV 13 years later. $100 is cheap for a game that gives you this much. It's a steal.
You're way off base. GTA lets you kill and steal...things that would RUIN your life in reality. It's a release for sane people. It's like watching action/violent movies. It's a release. It's fun. Simple as that.
Some video games are bad.
But video games themselves can be a good thing.
But I’m going to tell you right now:
GTA 6 IS NOT A GAME WORTH PLAYING
Yes, technically impressive. Yes, it will have a massive, beautiful open world filled with endless things to do.
But what is there?
Nothing that makes you a better person.
It is soulless corporate slop dressed up with incredible graphics and filled with meaningless fluff.
Case in point: Some of the big selling features are that you can play mini golf, go kayaking and scuba dive.
Brother, you can do all of those things in real life.
Go outside. Take your son mini golfing. Kayak down an actual river. Learn how to scuba dive. Feel the sun on your face. Make a memory with someone you love.
Why would you spend hundreds of hours inside a digital world pretending to live when the real world is sitting outside your front door?
A good video game can complement a meaningful life.
A bad video game becomes a substitute for one.
And no amount of graphical detail can breathe a soul into something empty.
Oh, you need it to target 60 on the Pro? LOL! Ok. As if you know better than a multi billion dollar company who is selling their billion dollar game for only $100, 10 years in the making....

In other words, you can't afford it comfortably. You pretty much gave every reason why you can't. Being able to buy something doesn't mean you can afford it.
I love Rockstar games. Love GTA five, Red Dead two. GTA six is coming out soon and it kills me that I can't get it.
Here's why.
Number one: I'm not spending money on a PS5 and GTA six. Yeah I can afford it comfortably. But I'd rather put that money into my future and creating freedom for later me than getting comfortable now.
Number two: If I got it, I'd get way too invested. Way too comfortable. And it would take too much time. It's a trap. I'd feel guilty. And I wouldn't achieve as much as I could in that time.
So yeah, it pains me I won't be getting GTA six for a very long time.
But the two reasons why I don't make me stronger. My mindset is what's keeping me away.
And I think that's the best decision I can make.
Keeping it off PC for a year keeps pirated copies at bay. And GTAV is 30fps on console and it plays great. GTA isn't a shooter. It doesn't need to be at 60 or 120. GTAV plays great on the Series X. No reason to think GTAVI won't, either.
It's a video game...not a fucking Quentin Tarantino movie.
