How does the ORE Reserve work? @HardhatChad breaks down protocol-owned liquidity and the thinking behind making ORE buybacks smarter. From last week’s stream with @raikucom.

I truly think the most compelling thing about grid mining is what it removes. The ASIC. The warehouse. The electrical infrastructure. The logistics. The depreciation cycles. What remains is remarkably what is pure. The capital, the probability, the competition and the issuance. Grid mining is not the rejection of traditional POW. It is the evolution of its mechanism. Tip of the hard hat to @HardhatChad and his vision of $ORE. I truly don’t think the majority of people grasp the economic rails that have been laid by what is being built.

ORE.
My definition of moneyness is arbitrary as all are but I think it will be proven right (that's admittedly the trade I'm taking with these calls): 1. PoW > PoS. I think it's essential that miners are forced sellers & distributors of the tokens. Otherwise you basically enshrine the Cantillon Effect into the "money" of the network. I also think there's a spiritual/memetic requirement that money == work **Maybe Ethereum is grandfathered into this clause bc the long PoW history, i'm undecided there 2. I think programmability is -EV, as described earlier. I think it's good for the network but not good for the money/sov like properties you'd want from the network token This is also where I take exception to the "Bitcoin is SoV but nobody uses it, why are Ethereum and Solana being punished for being used even if it's less than stables on their respective networks". Money is a meme. It's not dissimilar to the "always be pre-revenue" joke from Silicon Valley. Bitcoin wins by not even playing that game. It's also more comparable to gold in it's SoV-ness, which is a bridge I'm arguing the programmable L1s won't be able to cross 3. It needs a divine meme. What's the difference between Bitcoin and Dogecoin? The meme. That said, I do think Ethereum and Solana have grand enough memes here Context: I like these three properties of cryptomoney compared to the standard properties of money like scarcity, verifiability, fungibility, etc... because basically all the crypto assets have this by nature of design. I think we've been tricked by the historical immaturity of crypto to think "well maybe it's all money in some way" but I believe those days falling behind us I respect the bull case that solana will incubate 1,000+ pumpfuns into an ecosystem that hits critical mass and can't be vamped. Then they raise fees and run it up bigly. I'm hesitant because it really seems like blockspace is a commodity but I could be wrong

If you have looked at solana:oreoU2P8bN6jkk3jbaiVxYnG1dCXcYxwhwyK9jSybcp for few minutes and moved on, I urge you to reconsider. You don’t know how strong the cult is. Us ORE miners have gone thru Dante’s Hell and back. We will shine the light on what money should be like. Or die trying. Own at least 1 ORE.

A $32M token is growing its reserves at a rate of $200K per month Enough to buy almost 1% of its supply, at any moment, whenever the token drops It also allocates 95% of all revenue to token buybacks at any price It is a built-in plunge protection tool that no other token has in crypto $SOL going up means that @ORE activity, revenue, buybacks and reserve grow much faster If you assume SOL pumps to ~$170 which is incredibly realistic, then the reserve could grow up to $500K a month In this scenario, downtrends become way more muted, whereas holder confidence grows and incentive to sell decreases This is the cycle where revenue-generating businesses that deploy value back to their holders become the norm

5 takeaways from yesterday's Solana Circuit with @HardhatChad from @ORE: - Mining can be consumerized - ORE wants to be a Solana-native store of value - Bitcoin mining is becoming more concentrated - ORE’s Reserve is designed to improve buybacks - Decision markets are coming Missed the chad-CHAT? The Supply Will Go to Zero Before the Price Does A month ago, ORE started building something different. A Reserve. The idea was simple: If ORE is going to become money, it needs more than a fixed supply. It needs a mechanism that continuously acts on that supply. Because scarcity is not just about how many coins exist. It is about what happens to the coins that do exist. And that is where the ORE Reserve gets interesting. ⸻ The old HaWG had one instruction: Spend it. Protocol revenue came in. HaWG bought ORE. ORE got buried. Repeat. It was beautifully simple but remarkably blunt. If ORE was ripping higher, HaWG was still buying. If ORE was falling, HaWG had little ammunition beyond whatever revenue was arriving in that moment. It meant the protocol was effectively fighting every battle with the same weapon: market orders. Well, markets don’t move in straight lines. And defense doesn’t work that way either. You don’t put every soldier on the front line. You don’t empty the armory every morning. You don’t spend your entire defense budget the moment you receive it. You build layers. You hold ammunition. You decide where it matters most. That is the idea behind the Reserve. ⸻ The Reserve is a war chest for ORE Think of the Reserve as the protocol’s permanent ammunition supply. It’s not a treasury or a redemption fund. Certainly not a promise that one ORE is worth X dollars. There is no NAV. There is no peg. There is no bureaucrat sitting behind a desk deciding what ORE should be worth. There is simply capital deployed onchain according to a strategy. The Reserve provides liquidity. The market determines the price. The contracts determine the behavior. And when the market moves down through the Reserve’s ranges, the protocol becomes a buyer. The deeper the drawdown, the deeper the defense. That changes the geometry of the buyback. Instead of: Revenue → buy ORE immediately you get: Revenue → Reserve → deploy capital across price zones → buy ORE when the market gives us better prices. That distinction is crucial. Because buying ORE at $70 and buying ORE at $700 are not the same economic event. The first one retires vastly more supply. The Reserve isn’t theoretical. It has already gone from an idea on a Discord thread to an actual piece of ORE’s monetary infrastructure. The dashboard currently shows approximately: $45,000 TVL $250 in fees over the last 7 days 1,138 ORE of support 47.64 ORE buried over the last 7 days And the capital isn’t sitting in one giant pile. It’s distributed across assets. Approximately one-third each in: SOL USDC GLDx The Reserve is plugging away, doing its job. Currently 5% of protocol revenue is diverted towards building it. Check back in a year. You might be surprised at how little things can compound :-)

the ORE reserve has already broken past 1k ORE in support, with no signs of slowing down. Everyday the SoV is getting hardened.
ORE reserve support growing at nearly 100 ORE per day. This will begin to compound and grow at an accelerated rate. It's only the beginning.

@asyla_sol I like this idea. 🐷 Let’s turn it into a community challenge. If $HaWG reaches $1M market cap, I’ll send 1,000,000 $HaWG to the @ORE vault too. Who else is in? 👀 Let’s make the pig a little rarer together. 🐷⛏️ @hawg_ore
