FRANCE: I was sitting next to a French woman who lives in Dallas on a plane last week and she had not seen any video footage of the rioting in her home country. I pulled up X and she was horrified. There seems to be an effort to hide this from Americans.

Monarch butterfly numbers climbed 64% this season, thanks in part to the growing number of people creating pollinator gardens. It’s a clear reminder of what shared purpose can accomplish. Look what we did Their recovery is still fragile, though, so continuing, and expanding those plantings next year remains essential.

An October evening in 1984. The air was crisp, Halloween was just around the corner, and every neighborhood felt like home. We had no idea we were living through the memories we'd spend the rest of our lives wishing we could revisit.

The USS Abraham Lincoln returns to San Diego after a 321-day deployment, one of the longest U.S. aircraft carrier deployments since the Vietnam War, setting the stage for heartfelt reunions between sailors and their waiting families. Cheers erupt along the waterfront as loved ones wave American flags and welcome home a crew that spent 265 consecutive days at sea without a port call while playing a key role in Operation Epic Fury and maritime security operations in the Middle East. For 64 new fathers, the homecoming marks an unforgettable milestone: the chance to meet their babies for the very first time.

In the first series of Clarkson's Farm, a young woman told Jeremy Clarkson his sheep would never make money, and the wool cheque proved her right before the year was out. Ellen Helliwell was the shepherd he hired when it became clear he could not manage 78 ewes himself. She lambed them through the night, treated their feet, and told him the arithmetic at the start. Then came shearing. A gang arrives, charges by the head, and leaves a pile of fleeces. Clarkson sent the wool off and learned what every sheep farmer in Britain already knew. The fleece was worth less than the cost of taking it off the animal. For 800 years that fleece was the wealth of England. It paid for the cathedrals and the wars. A sheep was kept for five or six years for her wool, and the mutton at the end was a bonus that fed the country. Now the wool is a disposal problem, so the only thing a sheep can earn from is a lamb sold at five months. One income where there used to be three. Clarkson's flock lost money, and he said so on television. The reason the fleece is worthless is in your wardrobe. The jumper is acrylic, the fleece jacket is polyester, the carpet is nylon, and all of them are made from oil. Ellen could do everything a shepherd has had to do since the Bronze Age, and do it at three in the morning. The thing she could not do was compete with a plastics factory. Check the label in your collar before you ask why British lamb costs what it costs.

Solzhenitsyn was a WWII Red Army soldier when Soviet authorities read a joke about Stalin in a letter he had written to a friend. Solzhenitsyn was arrested, stripped of his rank and sent to Gulag for 8 years. Are we there yet?
🚨BREAKING: A retired British police officer has been convicted and fined for sharing a meme. The post said: “Fun facts about bacon! People who eat bacon have a lower chance of marrying a 9-year-old!” Stephen Gray, 65, spent 30 years as a police officer. He said the meme was satirical and meant to spark debate about child marriage. A judge ruled it “grossly offensive.” He now has a criminal record.

MORE INFO: Captain Smit Machchhar, the flydubai pilot wounded in the cockpit attack, has described what happened. The co-pilot asked to pray in the cockpit. Machchhar said he did not initially consider the request unusual. About 4 to 5 minutes later he was suddenly struck repeatedly in the back of the head. His vision became badly blurred and he then felt the aircraft enter a sharp descent. He managed at one point to open the cockpit door, but the attacker shut it again. People outside were trying to get in using the cockpit access code. The co-pilot refused to grant them access from inside. Lying on the cockpit floor, Machchhar recalled hearing the aircraft rushing downward and passengers screaming. Believing he might die, he said he gathered "one last fight," forced his way back to the door, reached the internal twist handle and opened it. That allowed people outside to enter the cockpit and regain control of the aircraft.
NEW: Flydubai Pilot Smit Machchhar Testimony: “The co-pilot stood up to pray, and out of respect for him, I didn’t look back. A few minutes later, I felt a strong impact and thought something had happened to the plane. But then I was hit again and realized it was him. I opened the cockpit door once, but he closed it, and I fell to the floor. I realized I had one more chance. When I opened it again, I saw people waiting to rush inside.” @AmichaiStein1

This image should make it clear that the European migration and assimilation experiment has failed. Europe offered these people a better life. They rejected it. And they hate us for even trying. Time to end the experiment. We don’t have to live with people who hate us.

They're not in Europe to do the jobs Europeans won't do. They're in Europe to collect welfare and raise horrible psychotic children who will laugh and film a firefighter literally burning as he tries to stop them from destroying his city. Civilisational suicide.

There are many differences between the right and the left, but this gets at one of the most important, in my opinion: It would never occur to me or any of my friends to play dress up to celebrate somebody's horrific murder in front of those who loved and admired him, and it would be completely impossible for me to collect a dozen people to tag along and applaud as I did it. But on the left, this is easy, and variations on it happen all the time. We are different kinds of people.
We are in a spiritual war.

As I walked off the CBS set this morning, a young producer stopped me backstage. She was shy. She hesitated. Then she asked: "Did you say a woman were blinded… intentionally? What do you mean?" I showed her the picture of Kosar. I showed her the picture of Ali. I said: yes. This is not a stray bullet. The snipers of the Islamic Republic aim for the eyes. A pellet gun fired point blank at a face. They want the world to stop watching, so they take away the eyes of the ones who watched. Kosar was shot in the eye during the Woman Life Freedom uprising. Her friend Ali Zarei was blinded the same way. Now Ali sits on death row, waiting to be executed. Kosar asked me to tell CBS about him. So I did. More than 10,000 people have been blinded, intentionally, during the Woman Life Freedom and the recent uprisings. This is the real Handmaid's Tale. Yes, you’re fiction is our reality.💔 I carry this burden every time I walk into a studio or when I go on the stage, because some people in the West cannot believe this is happening In the 21st century. Believe it. And say their names. #StopExecutionsInIran
