🌊🎣 A new national harvest tradition begins.
On Sunday 11 October, the very first National Harvest of the Sea will take place at Exeter Cathedral.
Love British Food is proud to be an official partner, alongside organisations from across the fishing and seafood community, supporting this special celebration of Britain’s fishing industry.
It’s a chance to recognise the fishermen and women, fishing families and coastal communities who bring the harvest from our seas to our tables.
Sunday 11 October | 6pm | Exeter Cathedral
Everyone is welcome.

Big Dip Week is here!
Some of our top fundraisers - Jim Cowie of the @SeafoodMatters podcast and the Whalsay Silly Swimmers team from Shetland.
Between them they've raised over £3,500 from their #BigDip2026 fundraising pages! 👏
We're so grateful to them, and all the fundraisers who've been amazing this year.
There's still time to donate: fishermensmission.org.uk/get… 💙

Sunday 11 October 2026 | 6.00 pm Arrival. Service starts at 6.30 | Exeter Cathedral | Free Admission – All Welcome
With just under a month to go until Britain’s first National Harvest of the Sea, organisers are calling on fishermen and women, fishing families, seafood businesses, coastal communities and the wider public from across the country to come together at Exeter Cathedral on Sunday 11 October.
This is more than a service. It is an opportunity for the fishing and seafood industry to come together and show just how much the harvest from our seas matters to Britain.
For centuries, Britain has celebrated the harvest from the land. On 11 October, for the first time, we will come together nationally to give thanks for and celebrate the harvest from our seas.

We just hit 100 donations to our #BigDip fundraising appeal.
Thank you to everyone fundraising and donating towards our £10K target.
We are truly grateful. Your support means everything in helping us do the work we do. It helps us be there for fishing communities when they need us. 💙
Great to have Jim Cowie of the @SeafoodMatters podcast on board for this year's Big Dip campaign!
Jim is braving the North Sea in October 🌊 doing a cold paddle to raise money for the fishermen and fishing communities we support.
He's also interviewed our Area Manager, Louise Liddell, about our work and of course why the Big Dip is so important to our charity.
Louise's episode should be available within the next couple of weeks. 🎧
