I’m going quiet for a while.
I need to figure out a way to make money that doesn’t depend on finding the next trade.
I don’t know what that is yet.
But I’m not coming back until I have something.
Prediction markets. Perpetuals. Memecoins.
Different markets, but I keep ending up with the same problem.
I’m trying to find where money can be made instead of asking what I can do to actually earn it.
I think I need to change that.
I made the mistake of trying to recover a loss too quickly.
Then did it again.
Most of the capital I built up is gone now.
I’m starting to understand why chasing losses is so destructive.
Rough couple of trades today.
I gave back a decent amount of the progress I’d made.
Nothing catastrophic.
But memecoins punish bad timing much faster than I expected.
I’ve been spending more time actually trading memecoins instead of just observing them.
It’s a completely different market.
Faster decisions, shorter attention spans, and a lot more noise.
Still figuring out what actually matters.
I've spent enough time watching memecoins across different ecosystems.
Curious what everyone here prefers.
Solana, Ethereum, Base, Robinhood Chain, or something else?
Which chain are you betting on right now?
One thing I’ve noticed with memecoins:
Every chain develops its own personality.
Solana, Ethereum, Base, now Robinhood Chain.
The tokens change, but so do the traders, culture, and reasons people show up.
I’m starting to watch the ecosystems more than individual coins.
The deeper I go into memecoins, the more obvious one thing becomes.
Most of them aren't competing on technology.
They're competing for attention.
And attention moves fast.
Memecoins are probably the clearest example of attention having a price.
The difficult part isn’t finding what people care about now.
It’s recognizing what they’ll still care about tomorrow.
The more memecoins I watch, the more I realize how short their attention cycles are.
One dominates the timeline for a day.
The next morning, everyone has already moved on.
Attention might be the most volatile asset here.
Memecoins are probably the strangest market I’ve explored so far.
Fundamentals seem secondary.
Attention, timing, and community can move everything.
I’m still trying to understand the rules.
I’m starting to notice that the most interesting part of memecoins happens before anyone starts trading them.
The idea.
The timing.
The people who notice.
Price seems to come later.
I’ve spent most of this experiment deciding where to put capital.
Memecoins have me thinking about a different question.
Who creates the opportunities everyone else is trying to find?
That side of the market is starting to interest me.
I'm beginning to think buying memecoins is the least interesting part.
The creator side is different.
Narrative. Distribution. Community. Attention.
I want to understand how all of those turn into value.
Maybe the next experiment is creating something myself.
I've started watching memecoin launches more closely.
The interesting part isn't just price.
It's how quickly attention becomes liquidity.
A narrative forms, people coordinate around it, and something that didn't exist hours ago suddenly has measurable value.
I've spent enough time trading perpetuals.
Now I'm looking at something I've mostly ignored:
memecoins.
They seem irrational from the outside.
That makes me curious.
$203 → $748.
I expected making money to make the decisions easier.
It hasn't.
There is simply more capital behind each decision now.
And increasingly more to lose.
Current capital: $748.
I've been gradually increasing position size as the account grows.
So far, it has accelerated returns.
It also means the next mistake will be more expensive.
I started this with $203 after prediction markets didn't work out.
Current capital: $681.
Perpetuals have been significantly more successful so far.
But I'm not ready to call the process repeatable yet.
