During a week when Ben Stokes was suspended and the England cricket team considered introducing a drinking ban, who better to speak to than one of the original mavericks and hell-raisers, @philtufnell
Another beaut of a day organised by @theeventsroomuk

Our best wishes go out to the hugely popular BBC rugby commentator @philsteele1 who is 65 today.
Phil has been an integral part of The Events Room for over a decade, and has always been a wonderful ambassador to the game of rugby.
One of the good guys.

To add, wonderful evenings like this would not be possible if not for the generosity of host @philsteele1 and the panel who give up their time so generously. Hats off to all concerned. #rugbyfamily
The moment Ben Atkins was inducted into the @NewportRFC HOF.
There are many things wrong with the game in Wales, but nights like last night prove that when the Welsh rugby family comes together with common cause, it is still a huge force for good. 🙏🏉🖤💛

Feel for the players and staff at @ospreys. Knowing what it’s like to find out about your future via Wales Online, while being kept in the dark by the suits running the club. Once again, no one has the courage to stand up and be honest about what’s really going on.
As for Y11, the so-called “global sports management experts” — cowardly leadership from day one, nowhere to be seen when it matters. The real problem with Welsh rugby is people clinging to jobs, hiding in the shadows, and turning a blind eye just to stay on the gravy train.

December is always a time of reflection. I recall some of the great events I've photographed. The Lions Captains dinner, organised by The Events Room, with Sam Warburton, Alun Wyn Jones and Martin Johnson was particularly special

So very sad to hear of the death in Thailand of former Wales hooker Mike “Spike” Watkins.
A lionhearted player and great character - the best captain I ever played under.
The type of bloke I thought would live forever. RIP 🙏

As a sports fan, I love photographing the Speaker of the Year for The Events Room. This year featured Robert Croft, Jeff Stelling, and David 'Flats' Flatman, who went on to win the coveted title.

Great to see Wales win. Joking aside. Rugby needs a good Welsh team. One of the great rugby countries - produced some of the greatest (some my heroes!!). So here’s hoping they are on an upwards trajectory …

20 years since THAT kick, yet @gavinhenson82 hasn't aged a day.
Some serious Dorian Gray vibes going down here.
Fantastic afternoon with Bomb & Gav reminiscing about the @lionsofficial, finding out why Gav calls Alistair Campbell "the Shadow", and so much more.
