I don’t even know how to begin this post… a month ago I came back after a long break dealing with an extremely rough pregnancy, and though I’m still enduring waking up every day and puking, something magical occurred. Something I could’ve never anticipated or planned for. When I returned to posting on YouTube, I blew up! We went from 7000 subs to now over 12,000 in just one month. I have hundreds of thousands of views, thousands of watch hours, and got monetized all within this month. I know you look at my content and think “wow Kai you really sold out to do react content?” But I want to share with you an intimate detail that I think even I was surprised by. Though my shorts saw thousands of views and I got to meet a lot of amazing subscribers the end of 2025 to the beginning of 2026, my retention rates were really low. Around 30ish seconds low. Most of my comments were about my models looks. I know in my heart I got to reach some people and teach them tricks and tricks about their mental health, and built a very loyal community, but I definitely could not do the same thing today as YouTube has chosen to deprioritize shorts. Plus most people were choosing not to listen to the full wisdom anyways. When YouTube makes these swift changes, so do I. I have changed my type of content and the way it’s delivered many times, in fact every single time I’ve came back. My main goal has never changed. Just because I do react content doesn’t mean that inside my video is not a two minute way to improve your mental health. Watched for longer, watched more often, and even seen by more eyes. I have repackaged the way I deliver these vital tools/information. I also choose to be open about being pregnant, being married, my family, and how I love being a mother. Without showing my kids on the internet. People have flocked to my content because they enjoy those things about me and they enjoy to learn new things about themselves. You can call me a sellout, you can say I took the easy route, but you can never say that I’m not consistent. I love my viewers and I will always work to improve their lives, just like they’ve improved mine, no matter how many times I repackage my content. It’s not a new kaiju, it’s the same kaiju with a new delivery method. And you know what? It’s thankfully working! 🤍 ✐⋆.ೃ࿔*:･ Lilyawooo
