Decided to ease back into things with some CSS Saw this cool effect and replicated it. Each ball moves in a straight line but looks like its moving in a circle by the end Theres probably a clever way to work out the positioning and timing but I used trial & error in dev tools

I've never made a website go "live" before, so I want to try. Anyone know any good domain name/hosting providers? Any to avoid? I also read that there's a big public WhoIs database with every site owner's name and address, which sounds crazy, but some providers offer privacy?

First 5am coding session done! Why? Because there's no energy left to do it after work. Unexpected benefit: It's much calmer than usual since you can't shout at your code for not working because there's people sleeping

I just found out about "AI Hallucination". I guess the marketing team were struggling to put a positive spin on "it just makes up the answers"

I finally tried AI! I used Google Bard (because I already have a Google account so that saved me signing up to something else) And the results are terrible. I can't believe there was any hype surrounding AI at all based on this experience. Maybe I'll try ChatGPT next Examples:

I asked Bard to write me a poem about Dracula that rhymes. The first verse rhymed but the rest didn't. So I asked Bard to make all of the verses rhyme. It said ok but then still didn't do it.

I tested Bard to see if it could get the answer to a competition that I heard on the radio: Find the connection between the following: Halle Berry, Brie Larson, John Candy, Sean Bean, Kevin Bacon. I haven't fact checked everything but Bard is just making stuff up here

For the first ever time since getting into tech, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I won't need to watch a tutorial to learn something new... Using AI is just typing what you want in a box, right?
