In Heather Cox Richardson’s “How the South Won the Civil War,” she argues that the country was founded on the belief that freedom depends on inequality.
Someday, MAGA will realize that the people unworthy of America, unworthy to vote, unworthy to equality is THEM. The white elites believe immigrants, Hispanics, blacks AND poor white people are unworthy of America. These groups are to serve the white elites.
We are capable of believing lies that we know are lies as long as those lies allow us to ignore the truth about ourselves.
POTUS to SCOTUS re: Ballroom. I burned down my house so you have to allow me to build a giant mansion. I have to have somewhere to live, right?
Oh, and you have to pay for it.
POTUS to SCOTUS re: Ballroom. I put my security at risk by tearing down something I wasn’t allowed to demolish so you have to allow me to build something I’m not allowed to build.
Of course, he wouldn’t be at risk if he hadn’t of tore it down in the first place.
POTUS wants to replace electromagnetic catapults on aircraft carriers with old steam operated catapults. This will cost billions, require significantly more sailors and be less safe. All because he likes steam better. Idiocy beyond belief.
The real reason Trump wants to pass laws with voting restrictions is NOT to have the laws enacted. He knows they won’t pass and SCOTUS won’t allow it. It is to be able to claim the elections were fraudulent because these laws weren’t in place.
Trump continues to lie about election security so that he can justify a nullification of the results or so that his supporters will violently nullify the results like they almost did on J6. This is not about election security. It is about protecting Trump from consequences.
Just because you say some words, doesn’t mean that those words mean what you say. No matter how many times you say those words, does not make it true either.
The fact that Freedom250 didn’t book any acts that have had a hit record in decades was telling enough. The fact that most of these acts canceled is even more so.
Deal with Iran is days away, says Trump. A deal has been weeks away for weeks.
No deal is coming soon.
And, when a deal comes, it won’t be better than Obama negotiated a decade ago.
Yet, the stock market soared.
Unbelievable.
Trying to convince people Trump is nuts or a wanna be dictator hasn’t worked despite a decade of direct evidence. It’s time to convince people his policies are bad. Weren’t we supposed to stop inflation? Weren’t we supposed to stop wars?
Perhaps some men are struggling because they cannot accept a society that views them as equals rather than superiors.
When Trump is not president, “Inflation is terrible and caused by stupid Democrats.”
When Trump is president, “Inflation? That’s just how it goes.”
Trump admin argued today vs @SavingPlaces that as long as you demolish a historic structure before a judge can stop you, it’s legal.
If that is true, what stops anyone from destroying any historic place?
How many weeks? months? are we going to hear that we’re close to a deal with Iran? We’re not close now and never will be. Whatever deal is eventually made will be worse than the deal the Obama admin worked out during years of patient negotiations.
Dear #Trump2028, where in the Constitution does it say that a presidential candidate who lost an election due to suspected fraud is permitted to serve a 3rd term?
