Watched the Trump vid, fair play he's an absolutel golf nerd 🤓
But he's not even within 10 shots of a 2.5 handicap slicing it 210 of the tee and putting like he's on a bouncy castle 😂
Haven't hit a ball for 9 months. Day off work. Beautiful day. Playing with top lads. Lovely course. Fresh Pro Vs. Bacon sarnie.
Got about 45 mins more of this feeling before I realise I'm actually crap at golf.
@FulwellGC
3 birdies, some blobs, some great shots, some poor shots. 4 pints in the sun.
I hate this game. I love this game.
@FulwellGC a lovely spot ⛳
The Open leaderboard is always a bit different
Makes you think the "best players in the world" might not actually be the best players in the world
Just the best at playing American golf courses in polo shirts
This golf is just so good to watch
Players actually having to hit different kinds of shots compared to bog standard events showing how freakishly good they are
Reckon if Tiger looked after himself like Ronaldo (and most modern sportspeople) he'd be on 25 majors and competing here
Probably ducked out of golf coverage for a couple of years now...
Reason being Daughter/New Job/Watched it too much...
Tune in and wonder what comms are talking about?
🗣️ "What do you think about Bryson using same length irons?"
Lauren and Reece James
Barrett brothers
Curran brothers
Bowen brothers
Smith brothers
Probably loads in silly American sports xitter.cf/mattlyynch/status/1779…
Can someone help?
Haven't consumed any golf TV or social media for months
What's the narratives?
LIV vs Tour?
Same Augusta clichés?
Young stars coming through?
Football has an attention economy issue. Controversy beats actual sporting fairness. Tribalistic banter beats a boring 2-0 result.
Traditional media and social get a lot more engagement from controversy than a professional performance.
It's not the beautiful game.
Might be worth taking the piss out of people who hit 200 yard slices with their driver if you can earn a few quid out of it
