If you know me, you know I 've often said:
“Finance is 90% getting the accounting right.”
Meet CavalRe Ledger: a standalone service for holding assets and managing accounts, built on hierachical double-entry accounting.
First implementation: @solana 🧵

Seeing all the cool Opus 5.5 generated videos, I thought I'd ask Astra to create a Multiswap video. Low effort prompt and 10 minutes work, but it turned out better than I expected. I gotta make a real one now 🤠

We’ve started building Multiswap for Solana, using our Solidity contracts as the specification for the economics and accounting, with an architecture designed for Solana.
The foundation is already working:
- Hierarchical double-entry accounting, including nested accounts, authenticated ancestry and explicit spending authority.
- Token custody, deposits, withdrawals and transfers, with atomic rollback if an operation fails.
- Deterministic decimal arithmetic, including exp and log, preserving our FloatLib’s 21 significant digits without native floating point.
- 43 passing tests, with 300 accounting actions and 1,461 numeric reference cases replayed against Solidity. Tests execute the compiled Solana programs, with independent accuracy checks for the math.
We’re also measuring compute costs, transaction size and account contention as we build. The architecture uses ordinary Rust modules compiled into one program; we haven’t needed to reproduce the EVM Dispatcher/Module machinery.
The current focus is getting the core accounting right. Shares and staking come next, followed by Multiswap pools and swaps once the upstream design settles. This is a tested foundation, not yet a deployed exchange.

Liquidity providers - whether on constant product AMMs or CLOBs - leak value. The only difference is that AMMs are more transparent about this real line-item loss.

Working on Multiswap often feels like discovering a law of physics. Truth and beauty.

Update: The new Multiswap now supports intents.

Think about this for a second...
You are trading 146% the supply of ETH in a modest pool with less than 1.5% price impact. Imagine what we could do with some real liquidity!

It wasn't exactly planned that way, I wish it was, but I'm happy to have Multiswap go live for trading on the 250th anniversary of the USA on Fourth of July with fireworks blasting outside my window 🇺🇸🎆🎇
I'll pretend they are celebrating with me 🤠

The settlement went through without a hitch. A beautiful thing to behold 🥰
Multiswap is live for trading 🥳🇺🇸🎇🎆
Check it out for a lesson in capital efficiency 👨🏻🏫
I'll be saying more about liquidity efficiency with some new metrics that will blow your mind 🤯
Stat tuned!

Happy 4th! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🎆🎇
We're down to a few hours before the first Multiswap pool is activated on Ethereum.
In this 🧵 I want to walk through what happens when the deposit window closes and how our new token launch mechanism (we're dog fooding) works.

GM everyone!
Day 4 (of 7) of the genesis deposit phase is in the books!

We doubled the deposits from day 3! Now we just need to double a few more times. Just kidding! 🤠
Here is an update 🧵

GM everyone!
Day 3 of our genesis phase is complete! I actually love the fact the it is still "friends and family" so far (no VCs, no team allocation, etc). Just people who believe in me and what I'm building🫂
I wanted to give a quick update on progress so far 🧵
