In the new Narnia trailer, Jadis destroys a public called Eagle & Child. This is not a coincidence.
It was in the real Eagle & Child pub in Oxford where the Inklings met, the group of academic friends that included Lewis and Tolkien, and where the worlds of Narnia and Middle Earth were born.
The pagans are telling you exactly what they're doing:
They're smashing stain glass, performing a demonic deconstruction of the story and its origins so that it can be remade instead in their image.
That is what this "Narnia" is; it's a hollowed-out skin suit. It's a humiliation ritual. It's urinating on you while telling you it's raining. It's Tashlan updated to a smirking, irreverent girl boss. It is, as Satan always does, a counterfeit meant to mislead, confuse, and destroy.
All in technicolor and cool music to dupe the uninitiated.
Do not be among the initiated.

The Massacring of CS Lewis & Why it Matters
The thing that is going on with these insufferable film adaptions in which characters like Odysseus and Aslan are neutered and feminized is not simply a result of the Left having no good stories to tell on their own. It is a strategic infiltration after decades of successfully and systematically eroding the foundations of the Christian West. It's not that Hollywood and Netflix couldn't produce original stories with big names and big budgets, it's that they have moved on to the humiliation ritual phase of their conquest.
CS Lewis is, without question, the most important, influential, and unifying Christian creative of the last three centuries. He represents the absolute antithesis of modern secularism, of woke leftism, and - way more than most realize - of feminism.
The only reason why everyone knows his name is because millions of Christians, Evangelical Christians, bought and read his books, and continue to buy and read his books.
Lewis was the Christian answer to the Enlightenment humanism preceding him. And he was the prophetic voice against the postmodernism that came after him. A once in a millennia talent, Lewis wielded a spectrum of literary genres, and at every turn, he masterfully dismantled the idealogical enemies of historic, orthodox Christianity. More than that, he positively presented the beauty of Christianity with unmatched brilliance.
The enemies of Christ are definitionally subversives. The hijacking of Narnia, the transing of Aslan, this is a deep work of deconstructive subversion.
Aslan is not a masculine lion merely as an echo of Christ, for the same reason that Christ is not called the Lion of Judah as a simple poetic figure of speech. The question is, which direction is the metaphor moving? Is Christ called a Lion because He is kind of lion-like? Or do lions exist because they echo something of what Christ is like? The latter is the reality of things. The archetype is never creation. The archetype is always the Creator.
To feminize Aslan is not a matter of mere stylistic preference. It is not just screwing up an allegory either. It is desecrating the archetype, which is to say, it is a subversion and an explicit mockery against Christ, against Christianity, and against Christians.
"But [in your world] I have another name. You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.”
Aslan, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
"As to Aslan’s other name, well I want you to guess. Has there never been anyone in this world who (1.) Arrived at the same time as Father Christmas. (2.) Said he was the son of the great Emperor. (3.) gave himself up for someone else’s fault to be jeered at and killed by wicked people. (4.) Came to life again. (5.) Is sometimes spoken of as a Lamb…. Don’t you really know His name in this world. Think it over and let me know your answer!"
CS Lewis, in a letter to Hila Newman (age 11), who had asked about Aslan's other Name.

No, you ended up being the most divorced, physically and mentally ill generations in US and maybe world history.
You watched as government ballooned out of control, racked up trillions in debt, eroded and robbed the nation left and right.
You could start a business out of the back of a truck... now, you have to go through forty seven agencies, fifteen fees, and 300 pages of paperwork to do the simplest of things...
You barely had enough kids to replace yourself, and many of those kids chose to end your family line by not marrying or worse.
The baseline health of the nation and its people has hit almost rock bottom during your tenure - cancer, heart disease, obesity and a hundred other ills and injuries.
The nation fell into moral and sexual anarchy during your time, and most of the nation's future was murdered before it ever left it's mother's womb.
No, you and the nation didn't turn out fine.
Your lives and the nation itself are now a five alarm fire that your children, grand children, and great grand children are having to fight.
And by Gods grace and goodwill, fight it we must.
But some honesty self reflection and repentance along with practical help would be appreciated

1. It wasn’t honest question asking and criticism. You literally reposted a Leftist, Jesus-hating, subversive’s cherry picked soundbite edit and then broadcasted to the entire internet that people should leave the churches of two pastors like a bolt of lightning out of the clear blue sky. There was nothing even remotely approaching “honest” about what you did.
2. A woman with a podcast, posing as a conservative complimentarian who reposts tabloid edits from leftist subversives attacking Male, evangelical, Bible-believing pastors is a textbook definition of gossip.
3. It is good and right for “supporters” to defend good men in the court of public opinion. It’s called honor. No one swung at you. You threw the first sucker punch. You do not get to play the victim here.
4. You attacked the character of two pastors. People responded with personal stories about them to disprove your character attacks. This is not deflection. This is true defending, and it is righteous.
Just because you say ad nauseam, “Bible, Bible, Bible” that doesn’t make your thing biblical and their thing unbiblical.
The only kinds of people who reposted your post locally in my region were LGBTQ activists with a proven track record of militantly opposing Jesus and Christians and the Church. For a conservative, complimentarian, female biblicist, that’s quite the following.
I will tell you the reason you have received backlash…it’s because I have actual names and faces of real people in my church who I pastor and who I love. And the last thing they need is the seed of subversive doubt sown in their souls toward godly spiritual authority and the fellowship of the family of God.

Wrong.
Very wrong.
Super-duper wrong.
Like, we literally have Bible verses for this.
“But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer." Rom. 13:4
Murdering a helpless baby is evil.
Punishing someone proven guilty who took innocent life is justice.
Biblical justice, in the death penalty, actually upholds the value of life.
This is not hard to see, unless you’re working hard not to see it.
Brian DeShazo retweeted
This is right. Though unpopular, the death penalty is a just tool of the State to rightly punish evil.
Which underscores all the more a government guided by the moral law of God.
“But Josh,” you might say, “How do you square being a Christian pastor who wants all men to be saved with advocating for the death penalty?”
The same way Thomas McKean did.
Who is he? Good question. Thomas was a signer of the Declaration of Indeoendance, president of Congress, a ratifier of the U.S. Constitution, and a chief justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, Governor of Pennsylvania, and Governor of Delaware.
Busy dude.
In the case Respublica v. John Roberts, John Roberts (age 79), was sentenced to death after a jury found him guilty of treason.
Chief Justice McKean then told him:
“You will probably have but a short time to live. Before you launch into eternity, it be¬hooves you to improve the time that may be allowed you in this world: it behooves you most seriously to reflect upon your past conduct; to repent of your evil deeds; to be incessant in prayers to the great and merciful God to forgive your manifold transgressions and sins; to teach you to rely upon the merit and passion of a dear Redeemer, and thereby to avoid those regions of sorrow – those doleful shades where peace and rest can never dwell, where even hope cannot enter. It behooves you to seek the [fellowship], advice, and prayers of pious and good men; to be [persistent] at the Throne of Grace, and to learn the way that leadeth to happiness. May you, reflecting upon these things, and pursuing the will of the great Father of light and life, be received into [the] company and society of angels and archangels and the spirits of just men made perfect; and may you be qualified to enter into the joys of Heaven – joys unspeakable and full of glory!”
Condemn them to a just death, that justice might be upheld.
Commend them to Jesus Christ, that eternal mercy might be granted.
This is the worldview of a just society.
This is the worldview held by students of Christendom who founded our great nation.
To this we must return, or all hope of biblical justice will be lost.

I’ll say the thing that most pastors I know agree with, but which many are unwilling to say out loud.
There is no way on earth you can be faithful to the standards, values, commands, and principles of scripture and vote for a Democrat in modern America.
It’s 100% a sin regardless of the attempted justification.
You will never convince me that you can vote for the Party of: abortion, LGBTQ, “trans” men ruining women’s sports and invading girl’s restrooms, open borders, defunded police, and anti-Christianity…..and think Jesus is cool with that. Nope. Not possible. It’s completely unbiblical.

Often times we forget, the most important battles are often the sweetest ones.

Serve these.
Protect these.
Invest in these
Insure they thrive.
Give your life to helping them grow.

I’m going to state a hard hitting reality here.
I don’t mean any disrespect towards Alisa, but I’m not going to pull any rhetorical punches either, because she chose to enter the arena.
If Martin Lloyd-Jones, or RC Sproul, or Leonard Ravenhill, or Charles Spurgeon, or George Whitefield, or Jonathan Edwards, or John Wesley, or Cotton Mather, or John Cotton, or John Knox, or John Calvin, or Martin Luther, or Wycliffe, or Bucer, or Tyndale, or Hus, or Boniface, or Patrick, or Columba, or Augustine, or Jerome, or Athanasius, or any of the actual Apostles were alive today doing ministry as pastors… heck, if Billy Graham was alive today and still preaching… all of those men would be accused at some point by a woman with a podcast for being too authoritarian.
They would be accused by leftist women of being misogynistic, racist, sexist, and all the rest.
And they would be accused by “complimentarian” women of being spiritually abusive.
Why?
Because their testosterone would be influencing their leadership in the church. And that is the thing that inevitably offends a feminized Christianity.
That is the simple and plain fact. And it is that “offense” that is underneath the “NAR!” accusation.
Since this post by @howertonjosh post is about me, I'll offer a few thoughts.
-I did not share false accusations. I shared a 3 minute clip from a longer podcast (that I have encouraged people to watch in order to get the full context) and observed that what they laid out as a leadership structure is precisely how NAR churches are defined. The entire podcast is oriented around setting up a leadership structure that protects the pastor, not the sheep. I'll link that again in comments.
-I do believe what was shared on that podcast is spiritually dangerous and I would encourage every Christian to listen to the whole thing and compare it with the biblical qualifications for elders.
-Some of you are expressing disappointment in my ministry focus as of late, and I truly do understand. And I say this earnestly...if some of my work has been helpful to you, I praise God for that. But if you feel you need to move on at this point, I truly bless you to do that. But I am not going to stop. NAR is one of the greatest threats to the gospel in this moment in church history. NAR leaders almost never announce themselves as such. Many don't even realize they've been sucked in. They almost always deny that NAR even exists. But you can ask the thousands of people who have been burned by this movement that it is indeed, very real.
-Do I think Howerton is NAR? I truly hope not. I am praying that if he isn’t, he will step away from guys like McPherson, repudiate what was taught in that podcast, and call out false teachers like Paula White and Mark Driscoll instead of defending them. I would be the first in line to cheer him on.
-I am taking my daughter on her birthday trip so I will be out of pocket for a couple days, so I won't be able to engage much here. But I didn't want to leave this without a response. 🙏

Hi Megan, I’m one of the elders at Josh McPherson’s church. I’ve known him my whole life. I’ve worked for him and alongside him in ministry in an official capacity for 13 years, along with a team of godly men, all of whom I deeply respect and gladly follow.
I have no doubt that Alisa feels strongly about the things she says and writes and posts. And I would not accuse her of being motivated by virality. I don’t know her. I’m not going to speculate about her intentions.
However, feeling strongly is not a substitute for truth. You know this.
Alisa has leveled very serious claims against both Josh H and Josh M in posting a clip pulled out of context by a genuine Jesus and church hater and definitively labelling it “NAR.” She even went so far as to adamantly urge congregants to leave.
It seems silly to me to have to be doing this, but I am compelled to take it personally as a shepherd because her comments could negatively impact people that I pastor.
Chiming in with the functional equivalent of “Hey everyone, trust me, Alisa has really strong feelings here…” is adding your credible voice to a an online piece of criticism against a pastor and against a local church without you doing any actual research.
So, this is me making a good faith effort, as a first hand witness, with decades of context and experience and knowledge that Alisa knows nothing about regarding Josh and his church, to let you know that she is entirely wrong.

Thought For the Day:
The NAR and CN fear mongering are out of control and often irrational; being painted and labeled on solid evangelical Protestant Continuationist patriotic conservative Christian pastors and churches that are not advocating anything new, radical, or dangerous.
The attacks from the “right”fundamentalist cessationist separatist Baptist or critical reformed or hangover dispensationalists tribes are literally aligning with the attacks coming from the “left” LGBTQ God-hating rainbow warrior Marxists.
And I think THAT is far more prevalent and far more concerning and far more warned against in the Bible.
But, it actually makes me think, this is a much more Jesus-like position to be in. Here I stand. May our tribe increase.

1) Saying that Josh McPherson (and therefore me, since I helped found Grace City Church 18 years ago) is NAR is ENTIRELY a false accusation. I am a founding elder. And I’m telling you, you’re just flat out wrong.
2) What would be the flagship NAR church, at the center or leading this “movement”?
3) Sharing the full episode is NOT the entire context of the topic or conversation. Which includes the larger context of the Resurge podcast sessions and discussions of positive, neutral, and negative cultural realities based upon in part Aaron Renn’s article/work.
4) Your attacks are intellectually dishonest and factually inaccurate without actual firsthand accounts or true representations of Grace City Church… and disgruntled former members, especially those who come from fundamentalist and cessationist backgrounds, don’t count lol.
5) Your disdain for certain leaders and your attempt to cancel anyone associated with them is just “another” lame duck attempt to do the very thing that many others have exhausted themselves trying to “speak into existence”… and it’s ridiculous and old and grievous.
6) I’ve been in Josh Howerton’s home many times and he’s a wonderful godly man with a great family and I’m grateful for his friendship and faithful ministry! As I am my 29 year and counting friendship and partnership with Josh McPherson. Pot shots from the self-proclaimed internet watchdog (female authority??) won’t change or determine the real fruit on the ground — in, under, and around — these men’s ministries and families.
