because I see the appeal pretty differently
say I'm playing a game I actually enjoy
I buy some assets because I want to use them
maybe I pick up a few more because I think they're undervalued and want to speculate a little
then eventually I get bored of the game
completely normal
I sell whatever I can and move on
maybe I made money
maybe I broke even
maybe I lost a bit
I don't really care
I still got hours of entertainment out of the game, except this time there was a real player economy around it
the stuff I owned could actually be traded
there was real money on the other side of those decisions
to me, that's already a huge part of the appeal
can u make some extra money in a healthy economy by trading well?
of course
that's part of the fun
but the idea that I should be able to play a game and reliably make enough to support myself, my wife and two kids?
who is supposed to fund that forever?
that's where the whole thing loses me
I don't think Web3 gaming needs to promise people an income to have a future
real ownership is interesting on its own
a living player economy is interesting on its own
crypto payments are useful too, especially in places where Stripe or PayPal aren't properly available or where traditional payment rails are expensive
I absolutely think crypto has a place in gaming
I just think we've spent way too long making "how much can I earn?" the main question

If a Muslim finds himself in the West, like the UK, the US, or Canada, they MUST respect their laws.
They should not demand their own rules. They should not flout the constitution. They should not protest against the established legal system of the host country. They should not carry foreign flags to challenge the system.
Likewise, if a non-Muslim finds himself in an Islamic or Muslim majority country, they MUST respect their laws.
They should not desecrate their sacred sanctuaries. They should not protest their penal codes. They should not try to force a secular moral compass on a sovereign state. They should not carry foreign flags to disrespect the land.
Respect cannot be a one way street. People are too hypocritical. This is why I said the issue is not even about Saudi Arabia. Even if Saudi frees those people today, these blockheads will still yarn dust. They will just find another trending topic to attack the religion. It is the faith they hate.
Do not pander to their hate. Stand firm upon the truth. Their forefathers tried more than this and they got tired. Theirs will not be different.

I'm genuinely curious, why is it that wen someone lost money in anyway, theft, bad business, gambling. No one felt that they're entitled to offer support.
But if they win in anyway many people will feel entitled to that win, why ?.
