My ANATHEMA tv pilot won the Golden Stake Award for Best Screenplay at the @VampireFestival!
It’s incredible to be recognized alongside @julietlandau, Golden Stake winner for her film “A PLACE AMONG THE DEAD” and an inspiration for ANATHEMA’s vampyre queen!

On Sunday, October 18, 2026, the #LACoFD and @LACoFireMuseum held a Flag Ceremony at FS 127 for our dear friend Randolph ‘Randy’ Mantooth who passed away on July 9, 2026.
Famous for playing Johnny Gage on Emergency!, Randy brought Squad 51 into millions of homes. His television seriespopularized the modern paramedic and EMS systems we rely on today.
Randy was also a fierce advocate for firefighter health and safety, representing both the IAFF and the IAFC, and speaking at safety conferences nationwide.
Randy was a faithful supporter of our Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Museum.
He is greatly missed but his legacy will forever live on in our hearts and in the lifesaving programs he championed.

In Memory of Randolph “Randy” Mantooth
Randy Goes on one last run with his lifelong friend and co-star Kevin Tighe inside Squad 51.
On October 17th, a Flag Ceremony was held at Station 127 (Station 51) as Randy left the station for the last time.
Rest easy, Johnny.

Chloë Grace Moretz’s entrance as Hit-Girl in KICK-ASS (2010) is absolutely insane. The purple wig, the blades and the way an 11-year-old turns a room full of gangsters into complete chaos. Then that Banana Splits theme kicks in. ICONIC.
What are the greatest “you have absolutely no idea who you’re messing with” scenes in movie history?
When some arrogant punk picks a fight with the wrong person and realizes far too late that they’re completely out of their depth.
The bar fight in JACK REACHER and the biker bar scene in TERMINATOR 2 are perfect examples.
What other scenes belong on this list?

The Black Hole broke Disney’s clean streak.
More gothic horror than space adventure: cybernetic zombies, a literal hellscape, and Anthony Perkins getting shredded earned Disney its first PG and paved the way for Touchstone Pictures' grown-up era, leading to Con Air and The Rock.

I see Algerian flags. I see Palestinian flags. I see Communist flags. I see the Suriname flag. What I don't see is any French flags...

Some songs don't just take you back to the 1980s. They take you back to being a kid, when your imagination had no limits and anything seemed possible.
Tell me this doesn't give you chills.

SEND ME AN ANGEL by Real Life became unforgettable for its use in RAD (1986), during the legendary BMX dance scene between Cru Jones and Christian. The Australian synth-pop hit was already a success before but that scene gave it a whole new life.
What song became so famous that it completely eclipsed the movie it originally came from?
A song everybody knows, but a film almost nobody remembers. The kind of track that has outlived its movie so completely that people are surprised to learn where it came from in the first place.
What’s your best example?
