In September, the Cubs have two homers, combined, from Seiya Suzuki, Ian Happ, Carson Kelly, Tyrone Taylor, Nico Hoerner, and Matt Shaw (putting aside zeroes from a couple of bottom-bench guys). Seiya has one of those, and it was up 8-1 in the 8th over the weekend. (cont)

The offense has been awesome this season. Best in baseball. But for the last several weeks, it's largely been carried by PCA, Bregman, and Conforto, especially in the power department. Now Bregman is out, and Conforto only faces one side. Someone(s) else will need to step up.

I don't think there is a preferred opponent. I'd much rather have home field. I don't think it makes much of a difference which of 5 pitchers starts in a given day right now, and being at home vs being on the road is the difference in being a slight favorite or clear underdog.

Like, if Luzardo is healthy, I'd probably "prefer" the Padres with the Phillies having 3 aces... but it's super close over 3 games. Either way, you'd take your coin-flip+ chances at Wrigley vs anyone. On the road would be a 40-45% chance thing.

Looking toward the bad weather expected in Boston,The league does not appear ready to change the venue. Playing on the Monday is an option.Starting games earlier and possible Double header also possible. Cubs must complete all 162 games if it impacts Padres/Phils seeding.
