On Dec. 30, 2014 Jim Harbaugh was introduced as UM’s next head football coach. In that press conference, Harbaugh, when asked if he could return Michigan Football to greatness, simply said “I cannot fail.”
We dared to dream that day. Last night, it came true.
He did not fail.
Thinking about Bryce Underwood today. The game is the game, the future is the future.. but I’m sure today isn’t easy & he’s still one of our boys. Keep your chin up, #19, keep working & don’t check out like a former starter did a few years ago. Support your brothers & #GoBlue
Love the effort here by Channing Goodwin to get to the front of the play and land that. Last block to seal the score. Hard work for your teammate is hard work for the team.
Bob Chesney in LA just astounds me.
I grew up in the middle of nowhere in Pa. A few coal patches nearby was an even smaller middle of nowhere. That’s where Bob Chesney played football. And I would know… his dad was a teacher at my school. He glowed about his son even back then.
11 years ago, we rallied as the Michigan community around a family. We prayed for them, we wore orange for them, & we cried with them one horrible day in November.
Today, that little boy beside his grandpa, 2nd from right, walked back onto that field and led Michigan to victory.
KW: “Hey Beck, we really need to regain the momentum here.”
JB: “Okay, let me go back to the stuff that hasn’t been working.”
This is the most achingly painful truth ever.
You watch Enow Etta running down a QB half his size, you watch Troy Bowles play with enough pride to burn down a house, and the offense can’t even put enough together to even look accidentally competent…
You all but have to laugh. The most ridiculously bad luck plays just seem to happen to this team again and again. And those are on the plays that WORK.
