What will Sovereignty Summit actually feel like? Two days at Coronet Peak, surrounded by Queenstown’s mountains, with space to think, talk and connect. You might start the morning over coffee with people you’ve only ever known online, then head into a session with speakers like Jeff Booth or Efrat Fenigson exploring some of the biggest questions around money, freedom, technology and the future. Between talks, there’ll be time to keep the conversation going. To meet builders, founders, parents, investors, health advocates and curious thinkers from around the world. To swap ideas over lunch. To challenge assumptions. To find the people you want to stay in touch with long after the Summit ends. The value won’t only come from what happens on stage. It’ll come from the conversations in between. The unexpected introductions. The questions you hadn’t thought to ask. And the feeling of being in a room with people who are thinking deeply about how to build a more sovereign future. 📍 Coronet Peak, Queenstown, New Zealand 🗓️ 2–3 April 2027 Tickets: sovereigntysummit.nz/tickets @thebitcoinbasin #SovereigntySummit #Sovereignty #Queenstown #Community

Why Queenstown? Because some conversations need space. Space to think differently. Space to challenge assumptions. Space to step outside the noise and look at the bigger picture. Queenstown is one of those places. Surrounded by lakes, mountains and open country, it’s a destination that naturally pulls you out of routine. It’s remote enough to feel different, connected enough to bring people together, and bold enough to match the conversations we’re having at Sovereignty Summit. Sovereignty is about choice, resilience and the freedom to build life on your own terms. Queenstown reflects that spirit. It’s also one of the world’s great bucket-list destinations. Come for the Summit. Stay for the mountains, the trails, the food, the wineries, the adventure, the stillness and the kind of scenery that reminds you there’s a much bigger world beyond the screen. For two days in April, we’ll bring together people from around the world to talk about money, technology, health, privacy, family, community and the future. And we’ll do it in a place that makes you think a little bigger. 📍 Coronet Peak, Queenstown, New Zealand 🗓️ 2–3 April 2027 Tickets: sovereigntysummit.nz/tickets @thebitcoinbasin @queenstownnz

How do good ideas spread? Through books shared between friends. Podcasts listened to on long drives. Conversations that challenge what we thought we knew. People willing to ask better questions and share what they’ve learned. The Education & Connection pillar at Sovereignty Summit is about keeping ideas open, accessible and alive. We’ll explore how learning happens beyond traditional institutions, how communities pass on knowledge, and why free exchange matters in a world where information is abundant but meaningful connection can still be hard to find. Because education isn’t only about collecting information. It’s about developing the confidence to think critically, test ideas, learn from others and keep changing your mind when the evidence demands it. Sovereignty grows when people have access to knowledge, and when they have communities where that knowledge can be discussed, challenged and shared freely. That’s what we’re building in Queenstown. 📍 Coronet Peak, Queenstown, New Zealand 🗓️ 2–3 April 2027 Tickets: sovereigntysummit.nz/tickets Join @thebitcoinbasin and a global community of thinkers, builders and curious minds coming together to learn, connect and share ideas. #SovereigntySummit #Education #Community #Connection #IndependentThinking #Sovereignty #Queenstown

A true honour to become part of My First Bitcoin educational network. In this era of mass disinformation and scams, the role of Bitcoin educators is becoming increasingly important. Bitcoin Education is about providing accurate and impartial information so people can navigate this incredible space safely and make their own informed decisions. @MyFirstBitcoin_ is empowering educators from all over the world, connecting them and providing the tools we need to keep helping others. We couldn’t be more excited to start building together.
This week's Education Network Spotlight is @Btcjourney21 🇳🇿⚡ Queenstown is known for bungee jumping, ski fields, and the Southern Alps. Together they run Bitcoin Journey, providing free Bitcoin workshops in English and Spanish, open to anyone from locals to the international tourists who pass through one of the world's most visited adventure destinations. Their educational focus is on Bitcoin fundamentals, self-custody, and day-to-day use. They are also part of the team building @TheBitcoinBasin circular economy, 55+ businesses in Queenstown now accepting Bitcoin, with more joining every week. Strong disagree. Do you think we would have this level of adoption if Laszlo hadn’t bought those pizzas with Bitcoin? If everyone had just hodled and never used it? Of course paying in fiat/stablecoins is (currently) more convenient and smoother. It’s weaker money, and the rails of the fiat system have been built over hundreds of years. When you pay in Bitcoin, you send a HUGE message to the merchant, their staff, and their customers: “This is the money I choose, and I value your service enough to pay you with the best money ever created.” Just ask yourself: would you rather be paid in Bitcoin or fiat? We’re from Argentina as well, and we spend, tip, and zap in sats every chance we get. Hyperbitcoinization is inevitable, but it’s up to us whether it takes 20 years or 100. Normalizing Bitcoin and making it real and tangible for everyday people is how we accelerate adoption. Especially considering how easy it is to Spend & Replace thanks to Lightning. In our local circular economy, @TheBitcoinBasin , 50+ merchants currently accept Bitcoin and the main reason is simple: we actively support the merchants who are open minded enough to accept it. When you offer to pay in Bitcoin, you create an incentive for merchants to consider it and eventually accept it. Paying in Bitcoin is one of the easiest and most effective ways to get people started on their Bitcoin Journey. It’s almost a public service for the network…just like in the early days, when people gave away literally hundreds of bitcoin so others could become familiar with the technology. It’s your money. You can do whatever you want with it. But if you want to see hyperbitcoinization in your lifetime, consider using it.
I barely use Bitcoin for payments. I come from Argentina where you would be a fool to not spend the weaker money and save the stronger one. So to me it's (and for you it should be) obvious that Bitcoin is long-term savings and fiat and stablecoins handle ordinary payments.

Many posts proclaim “Self Custody is dead” Are you kidding me? We are talking about the separation of money and state here, did you think it would be easy? One company that we all “trusted,” and yet nobody verified, caused massive damage because of a bug latent since 2021… Only time will tell if it was negligence or premeditated. A humbling lesson for all of us. Anything built on Bitcoin needs to be as robust as Bitcoin, otherwise it will, and should, be wiped out. Painful? Undoubtedly Necessary? Absolutely We are building the foundations of the financial system for the next 200 years and beyond, they better be rock solid. Time to go back to the basics and truly verify.

Technology isn't just changing the world. It's changing who holds the power. Most of us use technology every day without questioning who controls it, who owns our data, or whether there's another way. The Technology & Innovation pillar at Sovereignty Summit explores the tools and ideas helping build a more decentralised future. From open-source Bitcoin mining and self-custody hardware to Lightning payments and decentralised computing, we'll dive into the technologies giving individuals greater ownership, resilience and freedom. This isn't about adopting every new innovation. It's about understanding the technologies that reduce dependence on centralised systems and put more control back into your hands. Whether you're just starting your Bitcoin journey or already building with these tools, you'll hear from world-class speakers, developers and practitioners who are shaping the future. 📍 Queenstown, New Zealand 🗓️ 2–3 April 2027 🎟️ Tickets: sovereigntysummit.nz/tickets Join @thebitcoinbasin and a global community exploring the future of technology, money and human freedom. #SovereigntySummit #Bitcoin #Technology #Innovation #SelfCustody #Lightning #OpenSource #Freedom #Queenstown @jeffbooth

Foundation: Why Bitcoin Comes First Technology. Health. Food. Family. Education. Freedom. These are all essential parts of a sovereign life. But they share something in common. They all depend on the incentives of the system we live within. Money shapes almost everything. It influences how we save, invest, build businesses, care for our families and plan for the future. When money encourages short-term thinking, the effects ripple through every part of society. Bitcoin offers a different foundation. A monetary system built on transparency, decentralisation and fixed rules - not political promises. It rewards long-term thinking, personal responsibility and individual ownership. That's why Bitcoin sits beneath every pillar of Sovereignty Summit. It isn't because every conversation is about Bitcoin. It's because sound money creates the conditions for stronger families, healthier communities, greater innovation and a future where people have more freedom to choose their own path. Over the coming months, we'll continue exploring each of the seven domains—and the remarkable speakers bringing these conversations to life at Sovereignty Summit. Join @thebitcoinbasin and hundreds of people from around the world as we explore what it really means to build a sovereign life. 📍 Queenstown, New Zealand 🗓️ 2–3 April 2027 Tickets: sovereigntysummit.nz/tickets
