βThrough Charlie Kirkβs content I started listening to 3 other voices, all 3 of them were black, and all 3 of them were close with Charlie Kirk.. I have not ever not once heard Charlie Kirk say anything racist. Everything he said was spot on.β

My heart is broken. π
It makes me feel bad to see Elon touched like that.
Charlie was definitely someone exceptional.

One Christian died. An entire nation gathered to honour his funeral. Guys, they made altar call here.
100,000 people and millions watching from across the world. They. made. altar. call.
Well done, Charlie.

I listened to Erika Kirkβs full speech at the memorial, and I want to share a few thoughts that came to me while live streaming the event. This is not political.
First, I should say that I grew up as a Muslim in a Muslim country. I donβt know enough about Christianity to say if what I witnessed is rooted in faith or culture. But what struck me most was how, even though death is heavy and this was by nature a sad occasion, the entire event carried a celebratory spirit that honored life.
That contrast hit me deeply. In Islam, even though we believe that good people go to heaven, the relationship with God is taught through fear. Funerals are overwhelmingly sad, often filled with warnings of the terrifying first night in the grave. Growing up hearing that, and then witnessing people celebrate life, speak of Godβs love, and remember someone through the impact he had on others; it felt so refreshing, so positive.
Second, I was profoundly moved by @MrsErikaKirkβs words. I cannot fathom the strength it takes to stand and deliver such a meaningful speech after losing the love of your life. But even more than that, the grace it takes to forgive the very person who destroyed your world. I cannot imagine myself standing on a stage, sending love to those who cheered your husbandβs murder, or inviting others to spread Godβs love in response because, as she said, βwe do not respond to hate with hate.β That is powerful beyond words.
Again, I am ignorant when it comes to Christianity, but if this is what it truly embodies, then I am envious of those who get to experience that feeling.

Every seat in this giant arena that isnβt roped off for security is packed to the ceiling. Honored to be here.
All for Charlie Kirk.

You see the way they are kissing, smooching, having oral sex and maybe even sex in this current BBNaija right?
Good. You know this isnβt of God nor His Spirit. You know you wouldnβt seat with Jesus and watch it. You know you wouldnβt seat with your pastor and watch it.
It is corrosive to your soul. It is immoral. It is filth. But you still watch it. Why not stop?
You think itβs not affecting you? It is. Itβs planted seeds of immorality. Itβs conditioning you to be more tolerant of sin.
Satan is smart. Please, stop consuming his delicacy. Wean yourself off this poison. Please. Be holy. Youβre a woman and man of God.
God bless you. Amen.

Letβs assume they build schools. At scale nationally. Which is impossible. What about security?
Should churches also fund a military unit to secure the nation?
What about supply value chain which should connect the food basket to the other parts of the nation solving our food scarcity?
Should the church build railways too? Should it build ports?
What about healthcare? How do you solve the retention problems of doctors in the nation? The proper equipping of primary and tertiary healthcare centers?
We are saying all these not because churches canβt contribute to social amenities. No.
But that no matter what their contribution would only move in inch in the needle.
Churches donβt have money like that. Yes, churches canβt fund a nation.
Itβs expensive running a nation. That is why the US is in massive debt.
We are saying whenever we spot a macro issue in the society, our first mental stop should be the government. The entity that holds our taxes.
Not churches.
There has never been any modern nation funded and transformed by a church or churches. No.
Basically, you want the church to misplace its priorities. Maybe the church should also begin to also fund the Arm forces and build dams and roads.
