On January 20, 1982 anarchist member of the Black Liberation Army Kuwasi Balagoon was arrested for the BLA robbery of a Brinks armored truck, three months after it occurred. Later that year, Balagoon stood trial for robbing two separate armored trucks, as well as the deaths of two cops and a rent-a-cop. He defended himself at trial.
