I was told that Texas edge rusher Colin Simmons is expected to miss three to four weeks with a high ankle sprain. Simmons underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed no structural damage. The goal is to get him healthy and back on the field as soon as possible.
In addition, I was told that running back Hollywood Smothers is dealing with an undisclosed injury, and his status for Saturday’s game against Ole Miss is questionable.

Sources: Texas is expected to give an up-tick in first-team quarterback reps to redshirt freshman KJ Lacey Jr. this week in practice. Arch Manning still projects as the Texas starter. The uptick in Lacey’s reps is a signal that Texas could replace Manning if he continues to struggle.

I’ll take @ellalangleymsic over Kacey Musgraves any day.
And if I’m choosin’ Texas, I’ll take Ken Paxton over James Talarico.

Austin FC loves to tout the vibes and energy of its diehard supporters, while refusing to hear and act on their concerns for a safe community.
Asked Texas A&M coach Mike Elko what he'd say to Aggie fans who are losing faith in the team.
"There's a difference to me between the fan base and social media. So there's one group that I really don't care much about. Billy's cesspool (at TexAgs) can go be Billy's cesspool. Our fan base, stay with us, be behind us. We're going to build something that we told you we were going to build. So we're in a really bad spot right now, but we'll work our way out of it."

Texas and Tennessee have agreed to a correction for edge rusher Colin Simmons' stats from Saturday's game. Simmons was credited an additional 1/2 sack for a fourth-quarter sack that was given to Hero Kanu. Simmons' 5.5 sacks are now a single-game record for the Longhorns. #HookEm
