Earlier this month, our team joined the @StellarOrg GIVE Impact Studio in Kenya. 🇰🇪
Our representative delivered a short talk on DeFi and an AMA on Instawards, while also getting the chance to connect with builders from across East Africa and exchange ideas around the future of on-chain finance.

I’ve spent the last eight years mentoring students and helping them get jobs through @TheBAFNetwork, and a lot of top talent is struggling to find work right now.
It’s made me ask myself: what is university actually for?
The answer can’t just be “learn a field and get a job,” or to produce technicians of narrow fields. It has to be about forming judgment, instilling hope, sparking creativity, and helping people understand how disciplines connect, where they break down, and how the work we do actually impacts people’s lives.
Without that, society won’t have the judgment to hold itself, its institutions, and its leaders accountable. Eventually, we won’t have a society that can think or act for itself.
Time to look inward, decrease our dopamine intake, and use products that aren’t trying to replace us.

This past weekend, we kicked off the Ethereum Lima x Stellar Buildathon at PUCP.
Our focus this time is on the long game . Beyond the technical competition and team building, we want participants to project their solutions as sustainable products within the ecosystem.
We had the pleasure of hosting José Mateo Gálvez (COO of @junttaperu —a Peruvian crowdfunding startup), who shared the journey of securing funding through the Stellar Community Fund (SCF). His experience was vital in reinforcing a core message: funding is a consequence of a team's traction and execution .
These initiatives strengthen the ecosystem in Peru by bridging the gap between tech infrastructure and real business use cases.
