Game 4 was Junior Caminero's 7th game this season with multiple 110+ MPH exit velocity batted balls that leaderboard (regular + postseason): 1. Caminero - 7 T-2. Yordan Alvarez - 6 T-2. Fernando Tatis Jr. - 6 T-4. Oneil Cruz - 5 T-4. Jordan Walker - 5 T-4. James Wood - 5
new for @YahooSports, from ALCS Game 4 in Cleveland, where Junior Caminero finally found the breakthrough he’s been searching for in October — but not before one of the unluckiest batted balls in recent memory: sports.yahoo.com/mlb/article…

how the fuck are these people just allowed to park in the right side running lane on Lombard St

Hitting the ball there at that park on October 17th is a hard way to hit one out. That ball hits a tree in July.
Junior Caminero’s 4th-inning flyout was hit at 110.7 MPH and a 29-degree launch angle. It was the 204th batted ball in the Statcast Era hit 110+ MPH with at least a 29-degree launch angle... it is the FIRST that was NOT a home run 🤯 (via @mlb)

Wrote about the real secret weapon of the Rays, which is that their outfield defense went from pretty mediocre last year to ... the best outfield Statcast has ever tracked at turning batted balls into outs. Seems good. mlb.com/rays/news/rays-secre…

Starting a fight at the local Applebee’s bar, completely sloshed off the Yovani Gallardo, and having the cops called on me
NLCS champagne bottles are a reminder of franchise history: Players from Brewers’ postseason teams past and present, with the year they played.

“In situations like this” what the fuck are you talking about. Are you Wile E Coyote
The Roadster could genuinely be a lifesaver in situations like these.

The top 5 spending teams in the 4 major NA sports vs the bottom 5 spending. NFL top/bot are equally bad at winning. NHL and NFL have a bigger disparity in winning than MLB, despite a massive gap in spending differences.

“The NBA has a salary cap” Says the people who ignore the Celtics having to gut their championship team because they *drafted too well* and could barely build a roster around two home grown draft picks that turned into super maxes Great system there lmao

The Brewers finished with a three true outcomes pct (PA ending in HR BB K) of 47.0% That’s the highest by any team in a best-of-7 postseason series all time

Excited to see what they do with Charlie on the new "Girls." At this rate, I figure he's gotta be running the Latin Kings from prison. A sort of "Shot Caller" style situation. But we'll have to wait and see what LD cooks up.

In the 24-team playoff they should make SEC/Big Ten teams ineligible for spots 17-24. Give those to James Madison or whomever, we don’t need to see 4-loss Power 2 teams make it.

The irony of the "small ball" Brewers completely mogging the Dodgers in long ball / high-velocity baseball.

Well that was fast
I think either the Brewers or Rays are going to do a 2014 Spurs vs 2014 Heat to the Dodgers. Older best up team going for a 3-peat faces a fresher, faster, deeper team and just runs out of gas

They will ignore the game-changing homers and continue to talk about small-ball winning.
