20 years ago smug boomers watched TV and laughed at NINJA loan welfare queen home buyers
“Nobody has the RIGHT to a home” they sneered
Today they’re rioting over property taxes and claiming they have a *right* to live in their homes indefinitely regardless of appreciation

What kills me about DC Republicans is they knew war was a bad call a year ago. They knew the OBBB was a bad call a year ago. They knew tariffs was a bad call two years ago - especially how they were executed.
They knew ALL OF IT would cripple Americans under rising costs.
And I know they knew because we discussed it in closed-door meetings as it was happening.
But they didn’t say anything because they didn’t want to be Truth’d about.
When Thomas Massie said it, $30 million was spent to punish him for it, and they just watched from a safe distance.
Now they’re campaigning on lowering costs. “Trust me bro” ads everywhere.
You will never vote your way out of this.
The only time they care for you is when it’s time to vote, when they need a donation, and when they need to tax you.

Awful lot of Germans at these Nuremberg trials. So what, it's a crime to be German now?

If you’re still in the administration and are truly opposed to the Iran war, you might as well publicly resign & speak out—because at this rate no one is ever going to know or care that you were quietly against it, whispering to the media.
The loudest people encouraging Trump to continue this foolish war are the same neocons who gave us the Iraq war, and who now are gleefully cheering on the destruction of MAGA while telling Trump they’re the only ones who see his brilliance.
Trump is sharing an article by Marc Thiessen, a Bush speechwriter, a week after Trump accurately labeled Bush a failure.
Thiessen is attacking all who tried to warn Trump that this war would be a disaster in order to keep Trump in state of siege. The neocons’ ultimate goal is to ensure this war escalates so it can fulfill its purpose of destroying Trump’s historic movement & pushing out those around him who believe in putting America first instead of prioritizing foreign interests & personal gain.

For those of us in Houston, Centerpoint just snuck in another rate hike on us for energy delivery fees so get ready to feel it on your upcoming electric bills. I only found this out last week.

The Houston Astros just went into Philly and took 2 of 3 against the hottest team in baseball since the start of August.
They have a 2.5 game lead in the AL West
The Astros. Are. Inevitable.

FIFA's new 3rd place ranking rules are crazy.
In order for Iran to go onto the next round, one of three MUST happen:
- The new moon must be visible from the west shore of Larak Island from midnight to 3 am using the naked eye
- Three earthquakes of magnitude between 2.5 and 4.0 must occur within 90 minutes each other on the line between Bandar Abbas and Rasht
- No bats can be seen for an entire night in the city limits of Bushehr
Opta Analyst gives a 67% chance of this happening based on their latest projections
Its crazy how people will share AI slop and do no research to see if there is anything true
This isnt torchys, in rice village, nor is it even a real photo
Ppl complaining about fake tip culture and cant even realize they are getting scammed in the process
This is supposedly at a @torchystacos in Houston... Rice village to be exact.
Torchy's is not full service... It is counter service and you get your own drinks.
20% tip for you to bring my food to me is stupid, and if the restaurant does charge service fees then I will take it out of the tip
I am over "tip culture"
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The image posted by SecondAmendment is AI generated. The scene does not match any Torchy's locations. The same image is being posted around social media, each time falsely attributed to a different popular chain as a format for ragebaiting engagement. x.com/este_guey/stat…

John Cornyn has been in public office longer than I’ve been alive.
He’s had 40 years to lower the cost of housing, healthcare, groceries, utilities, and gas.
What’s the hold up?
No. Bethesda has nothing to worry about. They do not make games the same way. The next Elder Scrolls game doesn't need to worry about Crimson Desert. Everyone and their sister will be buying Elder Scrolls 6 on day 1. Crimson Desert will not affect this at all.
Elder Scrolls VI has a Crimson Desert problem.
For 15 years Skyrim was the benchmark. Every open world RPG got compared to it. I think that just ended.
Crimson Desert’s world is so dense that NPCs actually go to church on Sundays. Just Sundays. Rest of the week they’re doing other things. That level of detail is everywhere.
Combat makes Skyrim’s look like a tech demo.
I’m 48 hours in and still wandering the opening area. The scale is absurd.
Pearl Abyss is also shipping daily updates and free DLC while Bethesda is still warming up on Elder Scrolls VI.
So when ES6 finally drops, it’s not getting compared to a 15-year-old game. It’s getting compared to this one.
More Skyrim won’t cut it.

I do not appreciate anyone - Democrat or Republican - taking this moment to make TACO jokes to say Trump “chickened out.”
The president was threatening genocide against 90 million Iranians.
I’m grateful there’s a ceasefire & scores of innocent people didn’t die tonight.

With the greatest humility, I am pleased to announce that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, along with their allies, have agreed to an immediate ceasefire everywhere including Lebanon and elsewhere, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
I warmly welcome the sagacious gesture and extend deepest gratitude to the leadership of both the countries and invite their delegations to Islamabad on Friday, 10th April 2026, to further negotiate for a conclusive agreement to settle all disputes.
Both parties have displayed remarkable wisdom and understanding and have remained constructively engaged in furthering the cause of peace and stability. We earnestly hope, that the ‘Islamabad Talks’ succeed in achieving sustainable peace and wish to share more good news in coming days!
