Happy Birthday, Steve Buscemi!
Hollywood casting agents are always throwing Buscemi curveballs at us. Garland Greene in Con Air, "Nucky" Thompson in Boardwalk Empire, and Mr. Shhh, a lethal killing machine, in Things To Do in Denver When You're Dead—another 90s gem.

For South African rappers: They need a pre-performance test to see if our rappers can actually perform or are capable of performing for 20 minutes. I've seen brothers tapping out after 10 minutes (3 songs). I don't know if they're drunk, not fit enough, or don't go to the gym, but we need this. Tickets are expensive for us to attend an event and watch a weak-ass performance.

He died at just 26 years old. He recorded the number 1 hit "Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay" just 3 days before he perished in that plane crash.
He would never get a chance to see the success that song had. Tragic.

Fun Fact: “Super Fly” became a rare case where the soundtrack massively outsold the film and earned two Top 10 singles. Its blend of sharp political insight, silky falsetto, and deep funk grooves helped redefine what a soundtrack — and soul music — could be.
