If you cannot treat a human _as_ a human regardless of their race, creed, sexuality et al, then regardless of colour, you're an asshole.
This argument is only half true. The true bit is that China is rolling out, by volume, more renewables than any other country.
The bit this misses is that China's -total- demand is also climbing at a rate faster than renewables are coming online.
Replying to @tinman197474747
We play a part with almost every country globally agreeing similar targets. To suggest China is doing next to nothing is a stretch as the largest deployer of renewables globally by far. But the work isn’t all prevention, much is getting ready for the change we fail to prevent.
At this point, further emissions reduction for the UK is almost entirely performative; the money absolutely should be going into climate adaptation so we can weather the changes that are already baked in.
Congratulations on demonstrating zero knowledge about the current memory crisis.
Memory prices are still climbing and ain't gonna even plateau until end of 2027. We're already seeing *DDR2* prices tick up. That shit died 20 years ago.

The market can crash. Really, that's the argument you're going with - Hopium things are going to get better?

Start praying. Between this and what's coming next year we'll be lucky if memory even *exists*.
Just another straw on the Camel's back. At some point, the UN has to face the harsh reality that it's no longer operating under the ideals it was created in and has been usurped for ideological ends.
BREAKING:
Captured Hezbollah terrorists claim they paid UNIFIL to utilize their bases in Southern Lebanon.
Official UNIFIL SITREP attached.
| Analysis |
UNIFIL outposts appear to have been positioned based on two factors.
1. Terrain Denial
2. Force Protection
Both of them are symbiotic of UNIFIL's mission. For obvious reasons, Hezbollah would want to use these positions for the same military advantage UNIFIL would.
Hezbollah positions have been documented within 100 meters of UNIFIL bases. These positions include weapons stockpiles, tunnels, and attack positions used by Hezbollah for targeting Israel.
EXCULPATORY EVIDENCE
Hezbollah has been operating in Lebanon longer than UNIFIL has been present. It is possible that UNFIL built the bases in Lebanon on key terrain that Hezbollah commonly uses to prevent or deny Hezbollah use.
This would account for the tunnels being positioned close to UNIFIL bases.
INCULPATORY EVIDENCE
Below are two excerpts from UNFIL Sitrep S/2024/222 dated 08 MAR 2024.
"16. On several occasions, individuals carried out attacks against Israel from the vicinity of UNIFIL positions, drawing return fire by the Israel Defense Forces. UNIFIL protested these actions endangering peacekeepers and UNIFIL premises in letters to the Lebanese Armed Forces and Israel Defense Forces, and initiated patrols around UNIFIL positions to prevent hostile activity."
"C. Disarming armed groups
34. No progress was achieved with respect to the disarmament of armed groups. Since 8 October 2023, Hizbullah and other non-State armed groups have repeatedly demonstrated their military capabilities in strikes from southern Lebanon into Israel (see para. 3). Anti-tank guided missiles, artillery, offensive drones, mortars, rockets and surface-to-air missiles have been used in such strikes. The maintenance of arms outside the control of the State by Hizbullah and other groups in violation of resolution 1701 (2006) continues to restrict the State’s ability to exercise full sovereignty and authority over its territory."
In paragraph 16, UNIFIL says Hezbollah had been conducting attacks against Israel from the vicinity of their locations and, in order to combat this they "initiated patrols". Nowhere in the report does it document the effectiveness of the patrols, enemy forces they encountered, weapons depots discovered, or the overall impact of the patrols on Hezbollah.
In paragraph 34 UNFIL states "No progress was achieved with respect to the disarmament of armed groups."
UNIFIL reported they conducted security patrols around their positions, yet the problem persists. If UNIFIL had been properly conducting these patrols, they would have discovered and destroyed these positions.
This would have resulted in Hezbollah targeting UNIFIL positions and patrols daily. These engagements would have reasonably resulted in UNIFIL WIA and KIA daily. We simply do not see this.
Weapons stockpiles, rocket launch sites and tunnel systems have all been discovered within 100 meters of UNIFIL positions by the IDF since they entered Lebanon.
Conclusion:
UNIFIL has not been enforcing UNSCR 1701 in Lebanon.
Hezbollah attack positions, weapons stockpiles, and tunnels would not exist within 100 meters of UNIFIL locations if UNSCR 1701 was being enforced.
The lack of attacks on UNIFIL positions does not within itself imply UNIFIL was complicit in Hezbollah operations. The lack of action by UNIFIL within 100 meters of their bases does. In my opinion, it substantiates the confessions of the captured Hezbollah fighters.

Foxy (no relation) is a mega bloke, he’s a serving paratrooper trying to get this brilliant veterans and armed forces event off the ground.
Please share far and wide, hopefully you’ll know someone that would be interested in sponsoring (and have a fun night at the darts too).
Morning all,
As you all know we’re looking for sponsorship for the upcoming Operation BULLSEYE, if I say A LOT of work (and tears) has gone into putting this event on, I’d be under selling it.
We’re 5 weeks out and are still looking for sponsorship to make sure the troops get the event that they deserve.
If anyone would like to sponsor, or knows anyone that can, please drop me a DM and I’ll happily give out my details.
Please share 🙏🏼🎯🫡

UNRWA needs to be completely disbanded and rebuilt as an institution from top to bottom following the war to execute its intended mission. It’s been used as a mechanism & vehicle to support bad actors who have penetrated the organization given its size, scope, and reach in Gaza.
Another horrific day in #Gaza.
Another @UNRWA school turned shelter attacked.
This time in Nuseirat, in the Middle Areas, hit overnight by the Israeli Forces without prior warning to the displaced or @UNRWA.
At least 35 people were killed and many more injured.
The school was sheltering 6,000 displaced people when it was hit.
Claims that armed groups may have been inside the shelter are shocking. We are however unable to verify these claims.
Attacking, targeting or using UN buildings for military purposes are a blatant disregard of International Humanitarian law.
@UN staff, premises and operations must be protected at all times.
Since the war in #Gaza began, over 180 @UNRWA buildings were hit and more than 450 displaced people were killed as a result.
@UNRWA shares the coordinates of all its facilities (including this school) with the Israeli Army and other parties to the conflict.
Targeting @UN premises or using them for military purposes cannot become the new norm.
This must stop + all those responsible must be held accountable.

Brilliant article.
“But in Israel’s case the activism of the ICC might not be so much a deflection, but more of a concerted effort to weaponize the court to target the Jewish state. It appears to be the result of a long campaign from within the court.”
Unfortunately, international institutions such as the International Criminal Court, complete with their rules and bureaucracies, have been turned into opaque, unaccountable tools to extract money and guilt trip rich countries into serving those responsible for global chaos to begin with.

Welp. Looks like Russia's starting to line up their longer term plans concerning Kaliningrad and the Suwalki gap - tass.com/world/1791511.
Friendly reminder, this doesn't stop in Ukraine if Russia collapses the country. Perhaps the West need to start taking this more seriously.
I only just found out about this through you.
The algorithm really isn't keeping me informed on this area, so I'm reliant on people like you to keep me informed.
Christ... what is wrong with people?
I’m so disappointed.
I check the replies/likes and see only 8 people I know supporting @babyporooce on this because they saw it from my RT.
How the hell after everything we’ve seen & discussed this last two days is this tweet not being given attention by OCE?
