BREAKING: For the first time, Yemen's Houthis declare they will strike Saudi Aramco's headquarters building and complex in Dammam, as well as Aramco's Riyadh oil refinery, and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, if the Saudis strike Sanaa's oil depot. Initial reports indicate Saudi Arabia has struck Sanaa's Al-Sabaha oil depot minutes ago, triggering the named retaliation.

A while ago, I spoke with someone who explicitly told me that Ansar Allah (Houthis) were pursuing regime change in Saudi Arabia. This guy is someone I trust, and he’s not the type to follow the hype or make things up. Not gonna lie, when he first told me, I thought he was joking or high on khat. I held off on sharing the information because it sounded completely bonkers. Just days later, a public figure from Ansar Allah (I forgot who) said the same thing. Now, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a spokesman and member of Ansar Allah’s Political Bureau, has repeated it almost word for word. He said Yemen supports any move or action inside Saudi Arabia aimed at overthrowing Mohammed bin Salman’s rule, and that this support extends to actions by the public, the opposition, or even members of the royal family. Then, yesterday, The Wall Street Journal published a report saying that Mohammed bin Salman has been moving cautiously between heavily guarded palaces equipped with bunkers, accompanied by handpicked security guards, amid fears of a potential assassination attempt. Well, it turns out the guy was right about what Ansar Allah is calling for. Regime change in Saudi Arabia still sounds pretty far-fetched, but apparently, this is something they’re openly talking about.

I’ve been talking about how they stopped publishing alerts, I didn’t realize they stopped pushing alerts to people inside Saudi too. They literally turned the whole alerting system off as they’re getting hit multiple times a day. The incompetence and lack of concern is astounding
NEW — Saudi Arabia stopped issuing warnings for incoming missile attacks days before the deadly Riyadh airport attacks. It has not said why. When an allied western government inquired, they were told it was because the alarms were too disruptive and people complained about being woken up by them at night, two officials said. The lack of warnings coupled with repeated bypassing of air defenses at the airport undermined efforts to project a sense of calm for residents and visitors, Western and Arab officials and analysts said. BREAKING 🚨 The Federal Government just declared a POWER GRID EMERGENCY across 13 states + D.C... Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia... and Washington D.C. The Department of Energy just issued an emergency order to PJM, the grid that powers 65 MILLION people... running Oct 13 through Oct 16. Continued HOT temperatures are straining the grid... so power plants are now allowed to run PAST their pollution limits just to keep the lights on... And as a LAST RESORT before rolling blackouts... PJM can force data centers and other big power users off the grid and onto their backup generators. The grid could have as little as ~900 MW of cushion left... This is NOT normal.

We can see there is a hole in the roof of terminal 3 and Now Terminal 4 at Riyadh international airport from houthi Strikes on the Saudi capital. We can also see all the terminals have been cleared out.
We can see there is a hole in the roof of terminal 3 at Riyadh international airport. Houthis seems like were able to strike directly at the saudi capital without interception.

It’s not surprising that last night’s landslides were concentrated along the BRP & 226A near Little Switzerland. That area frequently bears the bullseye of upslope flow (see Helene’s landslide map below). #ncwx

The amount of tankers, oil infrastructure, airports and ports getting attacked right now reminds me of March. It’s almost impossible to keep up at this rate.

There appears to be a slight shift east in the corridor of heaviest rainfall in WNC. Unfortunately, this puts the bullseye over more vulnerable slopes & riverbanks damaged by Helene. In particular, the Green, Broad, and Catawba watersheds #ncwx
