The difference is that Lakeshore Lodge is likely getting SOME DaMaro influence, meanwhile the center was all big guy Chapek. He wanted a space that was for him I assume, since he apparently wanted the parks devoid of life. Lakeshore's bones are rough, cause they weren't gonna tear it down, but the design inside and poolside should be better than the initial drafts I pray.
Before I see people conclude “there were no other options!”, that’s entirely false. Guess what Disney is implementing over at Lakeshore Lodge? FIBER OPTICS. The fact that they are giving up is a perfect metaphor for what the center of Epcot has become. Bring Walcot back atp.

I'm not saying this as a "praise management" BUT this is false BECAUSE- A: She is the Co-President of the company and should be afforded money like she runs a multi billion company like Disney. (She actually should make about 5-10x more than this via stock options) You have some like Zaslav at $165 million so remember that. and B: Her cash salary of 3.75 Million a year would not help anywhere CLOSE to the people who were layed off before she is not on a living wage anymore. Dana is not the problem, the middle layer management is the problem. They make consistently 300-500k a year and they actually do nothing. This is a common problem with large corporations, trying to attack the bottom or top, because the ones in the middle feed the narrative how they want to. Disney hires roughly 230,000 people with an average of 15-20 billion in wages YoY. Remember the bigger picture.
When Nintendo was hit with a shitty financial situation, the CEO and several other execs cut their salaries to avoid layoffs. If Dana Walden makes 3.75 million dollars a year for her nothingburger job, why can’t she take a pay cut so people don’t get laid off? 🤔

This is pretty much what I anticipated. Disney has been on a roll for quick swaps, and building a new figure off site allows them to take the ride down and bring it back WAY faster. Still will likely take a bit, since I assume they will enhance other things too, but I'm really looking forward to this.

SMASH, but only the Pizza Springrolls... I KNOW I KNOW, but the Cheeseburger ones to me are just okay, meanwhile the pizza ones are PERFECT with a dole whip
Pass or Smash - The spring roll cart at Magic Kingdom. I like both the pepperoni and cheeseburger ones, but at $9.49 for just two, I don’t know if it’s a great value.

They really are just trying to make the most evil company possible

It's simple to note the difference... Disney is spending money on temporary things again, to give reason to come many different times of the year. Love it!
NEW: Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is getting a holiday overlay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from Nov. 4-Jan. 6. Disney says The Electric Mayhem will perform seasonal tunes, festive music will take over the courtyard, and new backstage moments will feature Gonzo, Rizzo, Scooter and other Muppets joining the band’s chaotic holiday preparations.

Is it just me or don't they usually not show food until around 6 months from opening? How soon will Monsters come out?
👀 FIRST LOOK at the FOOD OF MONSTROPOLIS! Harryhausen’s will include iconic ramen bowls inspired by traditional Japanese flavors, but with monster-sized personality. Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza will serve up pizza and BLORT, a purple frozen soda with apple foam on top!

It is incredible how you hide behind politics to try and not say that you have no reasoning against me LOL Enjoy Wish👋, I'll leave it to the Disney Vault where it can rot until they realize they had a good movie idea and make the real movie. Blocked me over a movie LOL

What? Did we watch the same movie? He litterally only did this IF you wanted to, he never forced anyone to blindly follow him. He made a place of sanctuary and said to anyone who wanted, here is what I have made. He was even trying to do good by taking care of thier deepest desires and wishes, and granting the ones he could without upsetting the natural order. Magic is a terrifying concept he had learned to control (mostly). If you wanted this world you volunteered for it when you were ready. The book is supposed to be the plot device that makes this nefarious but they chose to barely show that and instead he just all the sudden wants to absorb the wishes. Asha on the alternative side is all for the King and his idea, even wanting to "be like him" until we find out she did all of it to get her grandfathers dream. Then she all the sudden decides that because he's taken care of them, now he's the bad guy because he won't grant them all. Bitch they all GAVE IT UP WILLINGLY. Thats not to say King Magnifico was perfect, but he was doing it in a respectful way. They just all the sudden give him an ego heavy character and drive him insane by a book we see once. So silly. The original idea for the movie being a straight up villainous couple was wayyy cooler, with the Queen being manipulative and cold, while the King was cunning yet charismatic. Perfect duo. Asha would be better if she saw this corruption firsthand and fought to end it, instead she just "decides"

Love being called a Trump supporter because I understood Wish and how the horrible writing is a disservice to both characters😂

It's funny because the definitive good was King Magnifico and Asha was the definitive evil if you have literary comprehension

I take it back, they DID add references to Tales of the Okefenokee in the ride!!!! Crazy how Six Flags is willing to do what Disney wont. These are actual references clearly shown and pointed out by Six Flags. Not to mention as @Pryorcal1 said with the Bullfrog Bayou, it has a scene!
Yes! Love that they did all that! Also Not Sure if there's a short on this. But there's another Bullfrog Bayou Revue Reference in the Marsh! So happy that the ride is getting love it deserves and also paying tribute to the parks other past attractions when they can squeeze it in!

I'd rather hear the screams.
Ok, I finally saw it in person. We didn’t go in December when we were here so I did it today. Was it great? Not really. Was it hot garbage? Not really. It was just fine. But you know what I did notice? Families and their kids laughing out loud and having a great time instead of screaming like they did when it was Tough To Be A Bug. So I guess take that as a win? If guests like it, that’s all that matters.

I can't believe I am just now seeing this, but WOW, Mark Jones and @sfovergeorgia have done SO much great work updating and upgrading Monster Mansion. One of the most unique and special rides they have made... keep it up! I would love to see one day us get more original attractions in Georgia!❤️
