If anyone ever questions how much genetics play a role in mental health just come to one of our family events where we all get drunk and find out that 3/10 grandkids of the family have tried to take their lives, almost all 10 abuse substances to cope, and 1 now has schizophrenia.

So stoked for the family event this weekend lol. I am legitimately though like. Trauma travels through bloodlines until someone is ready to feel it and those people are my generation of grandchildren. We struggle but we all support each other as much as we can ♥️

We all joke about it to cope but we’re all a support for each other. I’ve had cousins come scoop me off the ground (literally) when I couldn’t move because of mental health stuff and I’ll be doing that for them whenever, wherever. It’s a curse but we have each other now, always.
