THAMES VELO RACE RACE UPDATE
In light of the recent announcement from British Cycling we have unfortunately had to cancel our upcoming road race. We will be in contact shortly with those who have already entered and will update if we reschedule for late in the year.
This weekend saw our dominant form at Abingdon continue with Yusuf picking up two wins out of three! In the morning race we had three of our guys cleaning up with a number of wins/podiums between them! More races to come in this condensed season and hopefully some more results!
Back to winnings way for Tom Coombe who came away with a Second place followed by two wins! We are hoping to continue with these results as the season starts again over the next few weeks #racing #cycling #britishcycling
Congratulations to new club member Nick Richards who has beaten the club 10mile TT record with a time of 21.17! Not to be forgotten Tom Byrd who road to a great 8th place with a time it 22.26. Well done guys!
Another good weekend of racing saw Tom Coombe take the clubs first podium of the year picking up 3rd at Abingdon from a select front group with help from Pete and Rodney in the peloton behind. Well done Guys in some pretty horrid conditions!

A 4th place for Tom today at Abingdon today with help from Rodney to bring part of the break back before the finish. A good way to start the road season!
The CX season has come to end with @MaxOConnor17 picking up 8th at the western league ShamXcross on Sunday, his best CX result of the year! #cx

Thames Velo is an amateur cycling club and as such our road race is held to support the sport and not for financial gain, so this year we have decided to donate any profits made from our road race to the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. (1/2)
Something we at Thames Velo are more than aware of when their services helped out our own Matt Jones when the worst happened during a ride last summer, and without doubt saved his life!
As the CX season draws to a close @MaxOConnor17 and @dylanhubble along with Rodney (making his club racing debut), raced at Abingdon. Dylan coming out top of the inter team battle with 22nd on a fast course #CX #racing
The CCXL came south to Hillingdon yesterday for some great racing. A strong turn out saw @jbainbridge pick up 11th with @lawrencewalton in 22nd and @dylanhubble in 27th. A great course and a bit of inter team rivalry made for a great weekends racing. Awesome job @TwickCC
The cyclocross season is in full swing now with @MaxOConnor17 and @dylanhubble racing last Sunday at Whipsnade Zoo. A tough course and a mechanical meant Dylan rode through from the back (4 mins down) to 41st and Max was mid pack in 26th. #CX #racing #CCXL
