i am already a billionaire.
i'm just waiting for the rest of the world to catch up see it for themselves.
one thing the last three years has taught me is no matter how low life can go or how hard you can get punched.
if you keep moving and refuse to look back at your past, you’ll surely win.
the path only carves itself out when you walk forward.
the hardest part is not looking back and asking “what if”, “if only” or “let me try that again”.
the most detrimental thing anyone seeking ascension can do is to veer back and catch a glimpse of the good old times.
doesn’t matter if it was a job, business, relationship or event.
the past always has a facade layered on top of it.
by definition it is veiled with rose tinted glasses, always appetising to those who fear the unknown of the future.
people who constantly lose are labelled as those who “get in their own way”
because they keep tripping themselves up by walking forward whilst looking back.
entangled feet cannot carve a path, they stay stagnant.
“a moving man, will surely meet his luck”.
only if he does not look back and say “what if”.
the worst day of your life won’t be the day you get your heart broken or lose millions.
it’ll be the day you realise that you were lying to yourself this entire time.
you made things harder for yourself for no reason.
you squandered money and opportunities for nothing.
you realise the self sabotaging behaviours you had and try to untangle it all.
you look back at once in a lifetime opportunities that you fumbled and wish you could “run it back”.
you remember sums of untold money that you wasted and it aches.
it’s like an awakening or rebirth. less esoteric, more pragmatic.
i’ve seen this happen to those around me making millions and those around me stuck in a cycle of loss.
the key when you get here is to stop dwelling on what could have been and what you’ve missed out on.
all you can do is look at where you are now and vow to never be the reason why you lose again.
if you lose, let it be because of factors outside of yourself. never let it be you.
this happened to me once.
i woke up and felt as though years of my life were lived as a fraud and it broke me.
i questioned every belief i had about myself for months.
until i decided to stop dwelling and start winning.
i haven’t looked back since. each time i find myself falling down that path of self imposed loss, i catch myself.
i remind myself of the consequences and what i risk in the process.
once you learn to overcome your self sabotaging loser behaviours and live in congruence with your beliefs
you’ll learn that the worst day of your life was equally the best day of your life.
had dinner with a big fish few months back.
he talked me through the early days of blackhat affiliate and what the landscape looked like.
mentioned how most of the real players in that industry are either in jail now or doing £100millions through a ‘legit’ business.
some elaborate schemes that wouldn’t work today but they are now seen as top “businessmen”.
their stories have been rewritten with mass pr and lies.
got me thinking that in business there are several tiers to this game:
high school: money twitter guys, early business and $10k a month. very scrappy.
d2/d3 college: $100k months here and there. figuring out scale and hiring top talent.
d1 college: $1millions-$10millions. you own a real business and people respect you. can find large enterprises here too.
the league (nfl/nba/world cup): this spot is reserved for the big fish. the guys doing hundreds of millions to billions. it’s littered with both legal and illegal players en masse.
the point being, there are many levels and being satisfied with $10k a month or $100k a month is barely scratching the surface.
my first six figure month was in my early 20s, i didn’t realise it until i looked at the books.
why?
because it is highly insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
i’ve always strived to play in the league, to go for the ipo, reach the billions, etc.
just like how each tier requires deeper levels of sacrifice and skill, not everyone is meant to play in the league.
understand which tier you fall under and strive for that.
some guys just want to go to a d2 college and call it a day.
some want to play with the sociopaths and the narcissists in the league - if that’s you, understand that many opinions on how you should live will be invalid.
a guy striving for d3 can’t tell a guy trying to go to the league how to live.
“work less, haha”.
no. i want more and i will get more.
you are satisfied and satiated, im not. let me run my route.
learning that britains gdp per capita is lower than the state of mississippi is insulting.
productivity so low in the uk to the point of it being abominable.
the british mindset is around doing the least to get by over prosperity.
part of me holds on to the idea that it can be solved & maybe one day will.
in truth, importing foreign talent seems viable until you learn of the friction that causes.
the brit wants a cheeky pint, a holiday with easyjet to malaga with the lads & a shag from his bird.
barely anyone here is working on the cutting edge.
maybe i am too patriotic to a nation that gave me all that i have today,
but there has to be a solution and im hellbent on finding it before resigning,
and moving to the us.
the wages are low because no one wants to work & when they do, they half ass it.
the investment climate is a joke.
taxation on businesses is a leading factor for mass layoffs and lower wages along with third world unskilled labour.
the joke is my company sells to us clients, is incorporated in the us and deals in dollars.
am i a hypocrite? maybe.
anyway,
this rant will probably be deleted by the time i check my phone later.
i just believe there has to be a solution.
maybe i am deluded.
but, i will fight tooth and nail.
or maybe ill discover what the founder of monzo did (tom blomfield) & that is, it is beyond salvaging.
you work slow because you’re low energy, not because you’re tired.
being tired and low energy are not the same thing.
you can run a marathon, be tired and not need sleep because you’re high energy.
inversely, you can sit around all day, not be tired but have low energy and drift into sleep.
if you’re chronically falling asleep or not operating at a high level, you’re low energy.
most of you will know what i mean,
you can work all day, exercise, have copious obligations to fulfil, be tired but won’t need sleep,
because you lead a high energy lifestyle.
an energy producing life leads to higher energy and can sustain you even when you’re tired.
there are moments when you’ve burnt the candle at both ends. both tired and low energy,
in moments like these, there is no need for a sleep aid or laying with your eyes closed for hours until you drift off into slumber.
in moments like this, you were tired long ago but were carried by your energy reserves.
this is what it feels likes to be on a mission.
the easiest way to gain energy is through purpose, diet and exercise.
not sleep.
sleep is a ruse for low energy people to feel high energy until their lethargy sinks in.
you can run on 4hrs sleep and still not need sleep due to leading a high energy life.
your performance is energy dependent, not whether you slept enough dependent.
this is why tracking sleep always sounds stupid.
it’s never a sleep problem, it’s an energy problem.
goes without saying - get enough sleep for you, but don’t blame low performance on sleep.
you were sold that meditation was the secret to success.
in reality, outright rage and aggression directed into a specific lane is the secret.
the meditation ayahuasca types end up grifting and shilling a course,
or, somewhere preaching world peace.
capitalism is war, it’s not peaceful in the slightest.
i have nothing against my competitors ceo but i would sink his ship (company) given the chance to reap the rewards of war.
i’ve seen women more aggressive and conscientious than most guys today,
yet, you think meditation will help you.
every penny i’ve earned was with rage. every penny i lost was when i accepted peace.
this has lead me to believe that anyone can have a good run.
but few can run the game for multiple seasons,
the difference is stamina.
stamina in business is rage. more rage, more runs. less rage, less runs.
most of you have rage because your girl broke up with you.
once you move on, you forgo the outright assault on the market & industry.
some were never loved as kids and told they’d become seething losers,
that type rage stays even after you prove everyone wrong.
point being,
some of you seek shortcuts to the pinnacle,
but fail to realise that your competitor will win because he has rage from his dad calling him useless as a child.
he has more stamina because he has more rage.
everyone can shine for one summer, few can shine for multiple summers.
embark on an outright assault on the industry you operate in, make every customer pay in full,
manoeuvre negotiations with tact.
ensure you make an example out of your competitors to further solidify your position to the rest of the market.
there is a reason business schools teach the concept of wartime ceos and peacetime ceos.
peacetime ceos are good when the wave is steady. very few wartime ceos left.
who’s going to ride the monsoon to valhalla and submit mother nature until she spits out what you demand of her?
my favourite quote:
“i need my prospects to say yes to a deal far more than they want to say no”
get rid of the meditation, keep the rage. it’s cleaner.
the only people obsessed with iq tests are people with low iq’s.
seldom do you see people with high iq’s in the middle of iq discourse.
this goes for anything;
money, getting women, height, etc.
the more you have of something, the less you engage in the discourse of said thing.
it’s always the bottom percentile or mid wit plebs that speak about it incessantly.
why would you speak about something that is your norm?
it’s like bragging about who has more oxygen or who has less.
it’s the people with little to no oxygen who want to speak about who has high or low oxygen levels.
one email or message to the right person can change your life.
you have to be lucky to win,
what nobody tells you is that you create your own luck.
nothing is out of reach. you can choose to be a winner.
it’s a literal choice.
i shy away from this discourse on the internet, because a lot of you are dense and try to be obtuse for laughs.
but,
women dominate academia because they're the 'to be lead' gender.
they cannot go without guidance in their lives, hence they seek it out in professional institutions as most men no longer fit this bill for them.
men, on the other hand, are the 'leader' gender. they forge their own paths and with the modern world being so easy to traverse,
there is no risk to forging your own path without guidance as all the guidance needed is on the internet.
women often seek out a new academic challenge as soon as life seems to get inconvenient, boring, daunting or their relationship prospects dwindle.
have you not noticed that most female graduates have a useless degrees?
men either have one in business, economics, maths, the sciences, computer science, medicine, law, etc.
women?
their degrees are often about the social impacts of biracial babies in venezuelan coca farms.
they don't take on these degrees for anything more than a way to pass time by as they hope to find a worthy man to save them from their malaise of life.
women understand social dynamics and going to oxford, cambridge, mit, stanford, berkley, harvard, etc.
allows them to scope out intelligent high level prospects for future instances.
its like taking 100 free spins at the slot machine hoping to hit the jackpot. at some point they meet the genius that saves them and has amazing career prospects.
its,
1. a filtering mechanism for their perceived high quality man
2. a way to pass time and avert boredom
3. mental masturbation as it artificially inflates their perceived value without actually doing anything in life.
you often hear these women say stuff like; "im an educated woman, i can't be with a man not smarter than me".
because, wtf is the qt'd girls degree about?
and she has the gall to call herself doctor?
anyway, this is why academia is filled with women.
the men fill up the meaningful degrees and the rest are fluffy degrees made to soothe women.
hence the big "girls in tech" or "girls in stem" movement.
they want to be coddled into more demanding masculine fields because they understand that it requires actual skin in the game.
most men get into work and focus on making millions from 16, they don't study "the effects of butt stuff on the socioeconomic inequality of punjabs in bradford".
if you want to get men back in school and see numbers even out, remove the nonsense degrees.
academia numbers are inflated by suzy studying gynocentric garbage.
hope this helps.
the only reason success is a game for the sick and twisted is because,
it is a long endurance game.
working a regular job is a sprint.
you clock in, give it your all for the preset hours and then clock out.
you are able to rest and detach until you’re called up to the track for your next lap around the bend.
whereas success which is far outstretched beyond what society has prescribed, is an outliers game.
you are ingesting, working and living outside the limitations of a regular humans capacity.
“man at his core is lazy. he sprints, then goes for the kill and goes back to lounging around”.
with this in mind, outlier success is anomalous and atypical.
you’re defying your nature to chase a self-ordained goal.
the crazy part is, you don’t have to if you don’t want to and you’ll still survive.
there is no compulsory mandate toward this goal.
thus, success is synonymous to a marathon which requires you to keep the pace, momentum and stamina the entire time,
even after you’ve crossed the finish line.
there are no timeouts. even in your sleep, you are on.
meaning, if your only motivating force is monetary gain, you’ll gas out quickly.
money is easy to acquire, even without sacrificing yourself at the altar of greatness.
this is why at the top 1% there often resides psycho-maniacs who have been given life’s ghastliest conditions.
a tiny slight, a micro tear given to their psyche as a child or some event that carries no meaning to others except unto themselves.
this is what drives them.
when in a long distance run,
what can keep you running even after the gas tank is emptied and you no longer need to keep running?
that sick internal voice telling you to keep going because if you don’t, you’re worthless.
this is why people often refer to success as a marathon instead of a sprint & emphasise the importance of momentum.
without momentum and pacing in a long distance run, you lose your place.
from then on, your ability to start over is diminished.
in conclusion,
this is why the most deplorable often succeed.
what can keep you running even after you cross your initial self envisioned finish line?
this is where that internal monologue kicks in.
therefore, do not quieten it or soothe it away with copious amounts of therapy or “internal work”.
use it. leverage it.

can vouch.
was burning with purpose like a wildfire from 2014-2021.
something happened in the 2021-2023 window that caused me and most to lose that spark.
worked my arse off this year to regain that hunger
travelled, worked on things 10x above my level & surrounded myself with true killers across multiple geographies & domains.
what got me back was spending time around elite players;
london and new york bankers / lawyers.
real business people clearing 7-8 figure years.
elite school silicon valley nerds with a chip on their shoulder.
even being around white collar and underground financial criminals.
seeing their fire burning and understanding what keeps it there in the first place is what got mine back.
we are past the 2017-2020 entrepreneur popularity trend.
it’s easy to win without having to sell your soul to the grind.
i’ve come to the conclusion that ambition doesn’t exist. you either have a sickly chip on your shoulder from childhood misdeeds or you don’t.
one commonality with everyone i spoke to about this? they all have issues stemming from childhood which drive them to their goals.
for those who want to be ambitious but lost it and don’t have that sick part within them,
i believe your surroundings have to be curated in such a way that it is physically impossible to lose that energy.
move to a restless ambitious city, i.e. london, new york, singapore, etc.
see the unrelenting ambition and lack of sleep. that’s what can get most people’s love for the game back.
this is why developers are the worst demographic to sell to.
“but, i can build it myself haha”.
the irony is that developers believe code is the actual value.
in saas, code is 20% of the value.
the real value is distribution.
this is coming from a guy who has been programming since 11 & has done it for a living making £120k per year as a tech lead before 22.
also, one that has closed hundreds of thousands in software contracts for my own saas.
unless your oss tool gets cursor level distribution, the premise of:
“this is free, why invest $” is asinine.
investors invest in things that make money and have long term value, not your neovim plugin.
sure, cursor stores your data, but that’s part of the value that investors buy into.
they can sell your code to the big boys who offer millions on the backend.
this is why slack and teams beats mattermost and matrix chat.
capitalism has rules and it doesn’t care about your moralistic arguments.

easiest way to become great at something is by simply doing it.
a lot, in the shortest period of time.
scared of sales? 30 sales calls a day for 1 month will get rid of this.
speed run your fears.
i fear nothing because ive seen it all, so many times.
“meh, just another day”
internalise that most people’s advice on here isn’t directed at you,
a stranger.
it’s directed at their younger, more naive selves.
what we wished we knew during the infantile stages of our journey.
hindsight and retrospective views.
absorb what aligns with your journey & ignore the rest.
do not blindly consume everything as though it is pure gospel.
most of us speak with conviction because it has worked for us.
“go all in!” vs “side hustle with 9to5” vs “hustle with a girl” vs “no girls at all”
these are not concrete methods on how to achieve any level of success,
the right set of events are required to make either work.
it worked for those who preach it.
but, it may not work for you.
analyse your situation and apply any advice accordingly.
do not be a compilation of other men’s lived experiences and tweets.
something that nobody talks about,
is that when you come from nothing and embark on a journey to acquire it all,
you’ll begin to reach the level of success that you’ve always dreamt of.
but, there will be days when you begin to miss the struggle and the beginning of the journey.
the truth is that the end goal seemed glamorous merely because you never knew what it felt like.
everything novel seems desirable at a glance.
once you acquire it, you get bored of it quickly.
almost as if, you never truly wanted the success,
you wanted to know what it felt like to have it.
the danger of this phase is that, you can begin to deleteriously self sabotage.
not only do you plot ways to subconsciously send yourself back to zero,
but, you begin to take the wins for granted.
the only way i’ve found to circumvent this, is to have something greater than yourself.
a wife, kids, family, a team, investors, social pressure.
something.
it merely has to be so important to you that you are unwilling to jeopardise their lives for your selfish need to ‘rebuild’.
this is also why the advice of:
“do not care what other people think, do it for yourself”
is complete and utter dog sh*t.
you need to have something beyond yourself that drives you to not self destruct.
it’s similar to getting and staying fit.
at first, you become fit for the fitness itself.
once achieved, you begin self sabotaging.
the only way to stick to your fitness is by laterally optimising for fitness.
you are no longer fit for the sake of it, you’re now fit because you want to impress your girl or it keeps you mentally sane.
the path to consistency isn’t simple.
regurgitating “be consistent” is cute in theory.
although, consistency isn’t hard physically, it’s hard mentally.
the truth is that it can be attained so long as it’s externalised and for a cause beyond self.
“kids born into chaos will always seek chaos,
you can mask it but it’ll always find you.
some give it cute names such as adhd.”
you’ll achieve your goals faster by being shameless and unafraid of persisting.
follow up 10-20 times & show up to their office @ 1pm to get your invoice paid.
the schizo high octane life has more benefits than the stoic life early on.
you can be stoic @ 60+.
early on, blitz.

i left all social media in 2019. truly one of the best decisions i’d made.
then, i went from having this page be a personal notepad, to gaining followers rapidly.
thinking of going back to the above, some of the most beautiful moments from simply,
reading, exercising, working & irl socialising.
a plus is that all of your thoughts and takes are unique, you are not swayed by unwanted platitudes from the tl.
e.g. half of what is on here does not exist in the real world. people do not behave near enough the same.
on top of it, you become a socialising powerhouse & as a gen z, gain the reverence of the generations above you.
social media has its pros but the pros of the “irl” lifestyle are uncapped.
will never forget these words,
when i was 19, i was having a conversation with a friend of mine.
at this point, he was 17 and running a successful agency.
very well connected, 6-7 figures, close to gary vee’s brother & he even intro’d me to gary.
overall, great guy.
one day, we were having a conversation about the increasing opex for my first saas,
i was complaining about the costs & fears of having to downsize,
he then dropped a profound set of words that i hold near and dear to my heart to this day,
they were ever more potent considering he is younger than me.
he said:
“if the cost of something goes up, i don’t cut costs to afford it.
i just make more money.
making more money is easier than being frugal.
being frugal requires stress and stagnates you and the businesses growth.
it’s defensive.
making more money requires less energy and allows you and the business to grow.
it’s offensive.
i didn’t save my way to millions, i just made more money.”
hearing this at 19 from a 17 year old shook me to my core.
few years on, can attest that he was right.
the only answer is “make more money”.
you can budget to your hearts content,
but, the money will still be spent.
all you’ll do is slow down the cash flow equilibrium.
slowing down cash outgoing will also slow down cash incoming.
why penny pinch & deprive yourself or your business?
just make more.
goes without saying, don’t splurge irrevocably.

[1] task decomposition.
have five tasks. each task should require deep focus but must still be tractable within the work hours allocated.
goes without saying that these are five tasks that move the needle forward in your domain.
each task has a set of five sub tasks that guide me to the completion of the larger task.
e.g.
1. write a sales letter
a) define icp problem statement
b) write intro
c) … etc.
2. review product feature
a) … etc.
these sub tasks are a step by step on what is required in order to get the high level task done.
also, it ensures i do not overstep what i set out to do. great if you are a perfectionist, you define what ‘done’ looks like before you start.
[2] work blocks
work in blocks of 2hrs deep focus and 30min breaks.
my calendar is used to book calls, meetings and blocking out mandatory deep work blocks in which no calls can be booked.
i still work outside of deep work blocks, although, i allow people to book calls.
e.g. 30 min call @ 9am, back to work @ 9:30am before next call at 10:30am.
3am.
working and overlooking the london skyline,
the horizon reminds me of the infinite opportunities,
endless stories,
endless wealth,
indiscriminate levels of potential.
today has been fruitful.
but, i didn’t go to the gym.
vámonos, the trenches are for strong men.
therefore, i will go and lift.
trenches.
