It should genuinely be legal for him to just shoot this cop dead on the spot for this. At the very least there should be death penalty or some type of torture for this
🚨 A family opened their back door to let their dog out... and a cop they didn't know was there KILLED her in five seconds.
Then he pointed his gun at her OWNER.
Her name was Tesla. A 3-year-old black Lab from Rochester, New York.
October 19th, 2018. Police were chasing two suspects through backyards.
They already had them in CUFFS. It was OVER.
But Officer Javier Algarin hopped the Dempsey family's fence AGAIN.
No warrant. No knock. Nobody inside even knew he was there.
Three seconds later, Charles Dempsey opened the back door.
Tesla ran off her OWN porch into her OWN backyard.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Hey!"
BANG. BANG.
Five seconds. She was DEAD.
Then he turned the gun on Charles.
"LEAVE MY PROPERTY!" Charles screamed.
"Get back!" the officer yelled.
Years later, under oath:
Could this have been avoided if you'd just knocked and asked permission?
His answer: "Yes."
The family fought for seven years.
A federal jury found him PERSONALLY liable. $125,000.
Rochester's training? "DELIBERATE INDIFFERENCE."
At least 6 dogs killed by that department from 2017 to 2019.
And that officer?
He's STILL on the job.
In 5 days it'll be EIGHT YEARS since Tesla died in her own yard.
HOW IS HE STILL WEARING A BADGE?!!!!!!

I photographed Metallica at a concert in 2010. I have never been called a nigger so many times at a metal show in my life. One guy made monkey noises. I was shocked. I get where James is coming from, but it's not reality. There are always politics at play, especially in metal.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Metallica played no regular public concerts in the US in 2010, only a private event. The author previously described a similar incident at Metallica shows she covered in Toronto in 2009.

Because Hollywood is terrified of admitting that in King’s book, Carrie wasn't just a weeping victim, she was having the absolute time of her life.
Every single movie frames the prom massacre as either a tearful, hypnotic tragedy or a cold, dissociated panic attack. But in the novel, King explicitly describes a fierce, manic euphoria surging through Carrie the moment she realizes she has absolute dominion over the people who tortured her. She feels an electric, intoxicating high. She smiles. She watches them scramble against locked doors like insects in a jar and actively relishes the power.
Filmmakers refuse to shoot it that way because it shatters the neat "innocent bullied girl pushed too far" trope. Showing a victim genuinely savoring the slaughter turns her into an active, terrifying monster and studios would rather sell safe, palatable sympathy than confront the pitch-black thrill of unchecked vengeance. #Carrie
We have had four different adaptation of Carrie so why haven't any of them captured the maniacal thrill aspect of the book's prom scene?

Yeah, what would we all do if Roman Reigns went home for months on end. Will the business survive?

I always doubted Debra Wilson was the one personally responsible, but all it does is prove me right it's just lazy devs that think rendering pores correctly substitutes any effort towards character design.
Debra Wilson admitted that using her face for Callisto in "Wolverine" was a mistake
But the decision is always up to the developers:
"That choice is made by the game designers, not me. I like games where my face is not used."
Debra herself believes that if the character is you, it only hinders the immersion into the role.

Stephen King literally wrote the White Commission transcripts into the novel to prove this exact point, yet pop culture still treats Carrie like an avenging anti-hero.
The prom massacre alone was pure rage, but what followed was methodical domestic terrorism. In the book, Carrie consciously blew up the Mobil gas station, ruptured city water mains to drown volunteer firefighters, cut the emergency power lines, and ignited entire residential neighborhoods. Over 400 people died; most of them sleeping elderly citizens, toddlers, and ordinary neighbors who never stepped foot inside Ewen High School.
King’s genius wasn’t writing a righteous girlboss revenge fantasy; it was exposing the terrifying pipeline of abuse. Systemic cruelty didn't create a noble vigilante, it broke Carrie until she weaponized her trauma and wiped an entire zip code off the map.
You can pity the abused child in the closet while acknowledging that the girl on the street became an indiscriminate mass murderer. #carrie
Carrie is the Villain.
Some of you sympathize with Carrie so much that you refuse to hold her accountable. Yes, she was abused. Yes, she was bullied. But hundreds of innocent people didn't deserve to die for what others did to her. Being a victim doesn't automatically make you a hero. Sometimes, the victim becomes the villain. #Carrie

People going off on Shane Gillis seem to just be focusing on the "dressing like whores" part of the joke and missing the remaining 2/3 of the joke that culminates in Shane essentially calling himself out for being a creep who looks like, well, Shane. The butt of the joke is not women dressing like "whores" but Shane for being a pervert for thinking that way.
Did I really just have to explain a joke that echoes one Louis CK made back in 2009 (the Hilarious special) that feminists applauded for this exact reason of self-deprecation? Are people really thinking that because "campus rape" is trending that their boring 2016-era complaints about "misogyny" are going to resonate in any meaningful way like they used to?

Actual female here. Women DO dress like whores and make obnoxious TikTok’s at the gym. Go White Knight somewhere else.
I dont know what turns my stomach more, the fact that Shane Gillis was on Saturday Night Live tonight and said women at the gym “dress like whores” or that there was people in that audience who found his disgusting bit of so-called humor funny. #SNL

Stephen King literally answered this in the book, and people still ignore it to protect their revenge fantasy.
The novel features entire sworn depositions from the White Commission, including testimonies from first responders and terrified townspeople who watched Carrie methodically blow up gas stations, sever water mains, and lock hydrants while innocent families burned alive in their beds blocks away from the school. She didn’t just execute her high school tormentors; she wiped out hundreds of completely uninvolved working-class people, elderly neighbors, and children who didn’t even know who Carrie White was.
If the story were told from the perspective of an ER nurse suffocating in smoke or a mother whose house collapsed under electrical fires while Carrie marched down the street, she wouldn’t be hailed as a feminist icon or a tragic anti-hero, she’d be universally remembered as a cold-blooded domestic terrorist. Empathy vanishes the second you’re the one buried under the rubble. #carrie
Would people defend #Carrie so passionately if the story were told from the perspective of one of the innocent people she killed?

Remember that Lily Gao only got the role as REboot Ada's VA because she played her in Welcome to Raccoon City and assholes didn't want Jolene Anderson (Ada's VA in REboot 2 who did a fantastic job) because she isn't Asian
Lily Gao is a mediocre actress and an even worse VA
Replying to @Kitana_Nina
This is Lily Gao last year when RE did a collab with Nikke, which is surprising if you know what type of game this is as she claimed "her" Ada was not meant to be sexualized & eroticized. You can really tell she takes VA seriously & tried to improve during the years after RE4R 🙃
