Trump’s Venezuela and the Oil Next Door
Delcy Rodríguez did not mention Essequibo at the UN by accident.
She thanked Trump. She promised elections. She talked like Venezuela now lives inside the American system. Then she brought back the old claim on Guyana’s land, and on the light sweet oil sitting off that coast.
That sequence is the story.
For years Washington blocked Caracas on Essequibo because Venezuela was the enemy. Guyana was the partner. Exxon was already in the water. The court case was the fence. A fence like that works against a hostile government. It does not work the same way against a client.
And this is not Venezuela’s usual barrel. Essequibo crude is light and sweet. Venezuela’s own oil, especially in the Orinoco Belt, is heavy and sour. One is easy to sell. The other is a headache. That difference is why Guyana got rich so fast. It is also why the claim is more useful now than it was under Maduro.
Trump does not need to say “go ahead.” Washington only needs to stop saying “don’t.”

Having the ADL call a Jewish scholar and son of actual Holocaust survivors -- Norman Finkelstein -- "grotesque" and "aborhorrent" and implying he's anti-Semitic, all while talking over him, is a vicious attack on Jews everywhere.
The ADL isn't trying to debate Professor Finkelstein. It's trying to silence him. It won't work:
Norman Finkelstein comparing @HenMazzig to Goebbels and calling him a "child killer" is a grotesque assault on a Jewish advocate. Using Holocaust comparisons to smear critics is abhorrent.
After being hounded to answer for his IDF service, Hen was repeatedly talked over by Finkelstein. Finkelstein wasn't debating Hen. He was trying to silence him. It didn't work, and it won't.

One year before the Israeli genocide, the number of doctors in Gaza was 3478 including 1565 specialist doctors.
Now, it's 1434 including 413 specialist doctors.
The lack is conspicuous in: oncology, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, general surgery, orthopedics, pediatric surgery, general internal medicine, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, endocrinology, and urology.
In Gaza, there's now 1 specialist doctor for 5000 people, reports journalist @Bisan_Shrafi, citing the Gaza Health Ministry.
Before the genocide, 1 specialist doctor for 632 people.
The new charts show how the healthcare system is falling apart: 181 specialist doctors were killed, kidnapped, or left Gaza.

Spanish newspaper **El Mundo** reports that the CIA has warned several European governments that Russia may be preparing potential **drone attacks against Mediterranean countries**, including Spain, France and Italy.
According to the report, the alleged plan would involve **Gerbera drones**, reportedly with a range of around 600 km, being concealed inside shipping containers and launched from international waters. From there, the drones could potentially reach targets hundreds of kilometres inland.
The report claims the CIA shared the intelligence with European governments following CIA Director **John Ratcliffe’s visit to Moscow in August**.
French authorities allegedly took the warning seriously, prompting President **Emmanuel Macron** to convene emergency security meetings.
European security officials cited by *El Mundo* reportedly believe such attacks could be designed to **weaken public support for Ukraine, create divisions within NATO and increase public anxiety without triggering a full-scale war**.

The U.S. is the only state ever to have used nukes, and it used them on civilian targets.
The U.S. has by far the world’s largest military budget and killed (according to Brown University) about 4.5 million people in the ‘war on terror’.
