There’s so much TO say, but I’m pissed and triggered that this sort of shit got funded, while artists with critical analysis and GOOD work are being underfunded.

The race of your mother has a significant impact on your psychological disposition in a racialized world where mothers are responsible for most the nurturing. That’s actually already been established scientifically via research on biracials.

An amazing and talented person who taught me so much when I was young. I will never forget our conversations about connection, love, and the importance of creativity as the foundation of both. 💔😔
I've always loved Hassan's perspective on how others can carve out THEIR OWN path, and that so much of it is about trial and error, trying things, failing, trying again, getting closer, etc.
feels relevant right now, so here is a clip of myself and @domesticetch discussing the art of gatekeeping, and why having less resources can be more critical to developing your own creative style
shoutout to @EdSunspot too
One of my favorite books I've gotten in the mail recently is from Now-Time, a research and publishing project. I've been following them for a very long time, and they never disappoint.

I really hate how people undermine how much more layered suicide is. Victims are not people who didn’t talk to their friends or reach out. There are structural issues that we are all refusing to address. It is not a simple check in or reach out. It’s 2026, please do better.

This just saddens me. I wish you all had deep, trusting relationships with people in your life so that you wouldn’t resort to training robots to talk to you the way you wish your people would.

As I’ve participated in and witnessed nightlife over the last few years, especially as part of Dweller, I feel like my relationship with music is entering a chapter where I may have to cross the line from listener to participant.
I’m not sure what my exploration will look like-whether it’ll be DJing (which has been a private practice), picking up an instrument again, performance/dance, or writing music again, but I do know the calling is getting LOUDER by the day.
