January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and Texas is leading the fight.
Under Governor Abbott’s leadership, Texas made human trafficking a first-degree felony, punishable by up to 99 years in prison, and denied parole for traffickers who prey on children and the disabled.
Together, we will continue to stop traffickers and protect the vulnerable.
