What's for dinner. I grilled some sirloin steak, shrimp, broccoli, and carrots with a garden salad. Yum! – at Lubbock, TX
My son's interview with KCBD in Lubbock. My wife and I were attending his Masters recital when the MSU shooting occurred.

What a night! My son's graduate recital was held at MSU, but at the 50 minute mark the students' received an alert that there was an incident on campus and to shelter in place. We soon learned that it was an active shooter on the MSU campus. – at Michigan, USA
We ended up spending almost 4 more hours in the hall together. I was really proud of all of the students present. They handled themselves so well. The music building is across the street from the Student union where the 2nd set of shootings happened. – at Michigan, USA
God was looking over us this evening and I'm glad that the students in the music building made it through the night safely. Please pray for those that were not so fortunate and especially their families. #SpartanStrong – at Michigan, USA
Proud papa moment-here's my son's solo on Steve Davis' "Batista's Revenge" that he performed today with renowned jazz guitarist Bruce Forman and MSU Jazz Octet II. Unfortunately, YouTube only let me clip 60 seconds of it. youtube.com/clip/UgkxNwNZ0AU… via @YouTube
Michigan State's Jazz Octet I and II play with renowned jazz guitarist Bruce Forman. My son plays an alto sax solo at 50'30. Nice concert for jazz afficionados.

The youth of our nation will be it's redemption. I hope this piece touches you as much as it touches me. Make sure you read the program notes. Very profound.

Best places to eat in the French Quarter in New Orleans? I'll be there the 2nd week of January. – at Lubbock, TX
Just got back to the hotel from the game. Although we lost, I still love my Sooners. We need to put this loss behind us and look to the future. K-State fans chanting S-E-C at the end of the game really irritated me. I lost respect for them. Stay classy, K-State.
