All 20 of Woody Marks' carries vs. the Giants, including one called back by penalty. His official numbers: 19 carries, 66 yards (3.5 YPC) 40 yards after contact 2 missed tackles forced 35% success rate 26.3% stuff rate -0.29 EPA/rush As we've seen, the run blocking just hasn't been good enough. There are certainly a few plays where you could argue Woody had an opportunity to cut back, hit a hole sooner or make a different decision, but it's hard for me to be overly critical of his performance. On so many of these runs, it's just ONE guy losing his block and blowing up the entire play. Sometimes it's multiple guys. Rutledge, Evan Brown, Ersery, Stover and Schultz all had their share of issues, along with some missed blocks from the receivers. That's part of what makes this rushing attack so frustrating. You can have four or five guys execute their assignments, but one missed block, especially from a TE inserting or kicking out a defender, can completely derail the play. Hard to consistently establish a rushing attack when the execution is this inconsistent across so many different positions.
