The entire medical industry is broken. Hospital can’t do ultrasound on pediatric child because it’s not approved. Insurance will not approve CT scan. Meanwhile, my 9YO has appendicitis. Anyone have a spare Komatsu and steel plate hanging around? @mcuban

It is official. Constitutions only matter until it gets in the way of the power/control the political class seeks. #termlimits

We fixing to have fights on who can get the next Data Center?
Texas' CenterPoint Energy has announced that, because data centers are lowering its fixed costs, they're going to start cutting electric bills by up to ~$150-200 per customer per year.

For all Texans screaming for local control, please get a history lesson about Reconstruction Era of Texas……the worst form of govt comes from local government. It is hard to change the law in Austin….by freaking design! #txlege.

#TxLege we need to reduce requirements on Volunteer Fire Departments to increase services. 1) Remove the NFPA requirement from VFD (think militia) 2) Set up state wide insurance risk pool (cuts $30k/yr in expenses per VFD 3) Set limits of liability @wesvirdelltx

This is for the people thinking Local Govt or any Govt should have unlimited dictatorial control over Liberties. If that was true we would have no need for the Constitution. That pesky document is the only thing between the People & despotism. That document & and the judiciary.

These stairs have Absolute Immunity
🚨 A longtime Portland police officer filed a $2 million lawsuit this week against a woman after the officer fell down the front steps of her home while performing a welfare check on her. (Yes, the stairs pictured) 🤡 oregonlive.com/crime/2026/08…

This story is harrowing. Police jailed this woman, impounded her car for 7 months, and hit her with 8 felonies after a Flock camera flagged a Dodge Durango that killed 3 people. She faced life in prison. The problem: It was a completely different Dodge Durango.
Florida woman spent 7 months in legal hell after cops used Flock surveillance to ID the wrong car. Full story: reason.pub/4zk3gLx

The shotty work of the govt is always to be feared.

This gets at something that's been sorely missing from the Flock debate. The camera did what it was supposed to do. It was *law enforcement's* shoddy work—and their decision to use Flock to cut corners—that upended this innocent woman's life. Unacceptable. reason.com/2026/08/13/flock-…

In 2001 George W Bush proposed a partial privatization plan for Social Security so you could put 10% of your SS contribution into the markets. People rejected this. We can now see that if it had passed, the 10% that went into the markets would have outperformed the 90% the government managed, the program would be solvent, and the average SS recipient would be receiving 2X what they currently receive. The worst bet you’ll ever make is betting on government.

#Txlege every elected official needs to take a full semester of Constitutional Law, IF NOT TWO SEMESTERS. And Constitutional Law should be a required class for High School Students. @TexasEd911 facebook.com/share/v/1Ebk8Nu…

#TxLege can we get a bill requiring incoming elected officials to take and pass a semester of Constitutional Law? I think it would fix a few things. @realmitchlittle whatcha think?

Tyrants will tyrant—that’s what they do. But don’t let them choose what’s right for you. No tyranny for me, no tyranny for you.
A Rhode Island town didn't want an affordable housing project built. So it invented a fake eminent domain "procedure", seized the land, and recorded itself as the owner — without telling the family or their lawyers. Last week, a federal court voided the entire taking. 🧵

Broadly, yes. The government's role should be to protect life, liberty, & property, enforce contracts, & punish fraud, not manage every aspect of the economy. Bad actors will always exist, but the answer isn't regulating everyone because some people abuse the system. Laws against fraud, negligence, & other misconduct already exist, & courts exist to resolve those disputes. We should be careful not to create broad regulatory burdens that increase costs for everyone in an effort to prevent every possible bad outcome.

#TxLege Tell me why a risk group that is supposed to make life cheaper for Political Subdivisions to insure risks….become sovereign immune from suit? It is an organization that does not have to disclose its policies to the TDI or public. This is next level dumb. search.txcourts.gov/SearchMe…

These litigation quagmires amount to abuse by the govt against its citizens. Why is this abuse acceptable? Is financial abuse okay? Is litigation abuse okay? What about physical abuse? Abuse is abuse regardless of form.

#TXLEGE why are taxpayer funded lobbyists allowed to teach required CLEs to School Boards and Local Elected Officials? It creates a grift cycle. “I am the smartest person to hire, because I thought you what I wanted you to know.” Circle of Grift is reinforced at every step.
