It’s officially “You can’t be a Christian and vote for (fill in the blank)” season with white Evangelicals, the ones who voted three times for a twice-impeached, pro-choice felon who brags about sexual aggression, now presuming to dictate how Christians should vote.

I am a white Baptist who lives in the US. Because of Christ, I have a closer & more intimate bond w/ some unknown black Presbyterian in Nigeria, Punjabi Anglican in India, Persian Lutheran in Iran, & non-denom Hispanic in Mexico than I do w/ my unbelieving white neighbors.

Earlier this week, our dear brother Samuel Sey @SlowToWrite was en route to appear on our podcast when he got detained by ICE. Samuel is from Canada, and has been living here as a legal resident of the United States. We are confident this clerical mistake will be fixed, but this has been a terrible experience for his family. Please consider supporting his lovely wife Annie and their three small children as they deal with the legal and living expenses of this terrible ordeal. If you know Samuel, you know what a good man of character he is. So many of us have been blessed by his writing and ministry. Please help! givesendgo.com/support-for-s…

Talarico is running such a positive and joyful, Texas-loving campaign while Paxton is just screaming “he’s a queer”
Talarico: Texas is beautiful, Texas is bold, and most importantly, Texas is big. Big hair, big hearts, and big dreams. Our musicians are so iconic, they only need one name: Willie, Selena, Beyonce

This is @bofrench He wants every non white person including US citizens deported for the crime of not being white. A totally bigoted Neanderthal like him has no place in any elected office. He is clearly setting up to run for governor in 4 years and needs to be stopped NOW.

Don't buy @LeighForTexas Wambsganss' BS. She's a political operative who ran billionaire backed Patriot Mobile's PAC. Before then, she ran campaigns for extremist candidates. She's on the hate slate of big gov MAGAs who are tearing Tarrant Co apart. grabien.com/profile?id=14218…
Long before my name was on a ballot, I showed up and worked hard to make life better for Tarrant County. For over 30 years, I have been a non-paid volunteer advocate for common-sense policies that keep our state strong. I have testified in Austin, at the county and local levels, earning the respect of lawmakers while fighting for lower taxes, local control, law and order, and constitutional rights. I volunteered for decades to lift people up from their circumstances-provided food, shelter and services to those in need. Unlike my extreme left opponent, I’ve shown up for Tarrant County and Texas for decades before running for office. Send an experienced, common-sense conservative to Austin to fight for you. Vote Leigh Wambsganss for Texas Senate District 9! Early Voting: Oct 19-30 Election Day: Tuesday, Nov 3

You know what I haven't heard from Republicans? A single fucking thing about what they want to do to make a single fucking thing better. All they have is how the scary transgender, communist, jihadist illegal is going to get you.

Normal people decide elections. The parties, having become epistemically convinced they only need their bases to turnout, are re-learning that in a 50/50 nation, the non-partisan normie independents decide everything and do so on a per candidate basis.
What should we make of races like Michigan, Texas, and Georgia where there's a big split in the polls between Senate and gubernatorial races? Do these gaps tend to close by Election Day? Answers in today's Model Talk: natesilver.net/p/do-these-se…

No place in Texas do Rs deserve to lose more than in Tarrant County. Led by the likes of racist Bo French & hateful Tim O'Hare, Tarrant Rs are openly hostile to the voting public. They promote top down autocracy funded by White Nationalist billionaires. star-telegram.com/opinion/bu…

GOP, cut the coping. Trans kids. Muslim fearmongering. Immigrants “taking over.” You might win some voters if you stopped peddling this shit. How many more election cycles are you going to run on the same scare tactics? People are worried about GAS, GROCERIES and RENT. Try giving them answers.

This guy is from Florida, but I vote in every election and this is how I approach every race. It takes more time and homework but it’s worth it! Vet every candidate in every election.
My vote this cycle includes Democrats, Libertarians, and Republicans. I basically just researched each person: their history and experiences, what they are running on, what they have supported in the past (when available), and what kind of power the office they are running for actually holds. For example: I don't give a damn where somebody who is in charge of water stands in the culture wars. Our county and local-level elections in Florida are nonpartisan, which means that if you don’t rely on those dumb cards that the parties hand out to tell you who to vote for, you actually get to look everybody up and figure out who they are. Highly recommend. My biggest struggle was with Amendment 1, because it is one of those rare cases where fiscal discipline and constitutional restraint run in opposition to each other. I hate it when that happens.

Truly, he might. But they aren’t getting my vote again until they clean out the garbage. This isn’t going away. It’s bigger than one candidate.
Paxton is going to win. Cry harder

This. The biggest mistake I have made in the past is believing one party had the inside track on Jesus. Vote individuals, not party. Choose men of character and principle to lead. Reject corruption. Open your eyes to how folks seek to manipulate tour faith. Then vote and don’t worry about the outcome. Will God be thwarted if your preferred candidate loses? He will not.
Replying to @joelrainey
6. If you can’t stomach the idea of worshipping alongside someone who voted differently than you, you don’t need to “find another church.” You need to find Jesus. (7) facebook.com/share/p/1C9d3nW…

.@JamesTalarico: We are still very much the underdogs. We're going up against the most corrupt politician in Texas who is backed by the most powerful man in the world and the richest man in the world — both the president and @ElonMusk are backing Ken Paxton. They have already poured $200 million into this race on attack ads against me because Elon Musk is trying to buy his own personal U.S. Senator in Ken Paxton. On November 3rd, our state is going to send the world's first trillionaire a very clear message that Texas is not for sale.

Vivek Ramaswamy has not earned my vote just because he's a "Republican." I will not be voting for him. I am a lifelong Republican. I am a Christian. I am a proud Ohioan. Vivek Ramaswamy does not represent my values. If that offends you, you've let politics become an idol.

Zero. No documented cases exist in the US over the past decade of a school or politician forcibly medically transitioning a child via hormones, puberty blockers, or surgery. Medical interventions require parental consent under law and standards of care. Schools have facilitated social transitions (names/pronouns) without parents in some lawsuits, but not medical ones.

.@jamestalarico after Elon Musk sent $158M to support Ken Paxton: "Big money is powerful. I don't want to sugarcoat that. The richest man in the world is coming after us, but it is nothing compared to people power. Elon wants our land. He's already trying to buy one of our beautiful state parks down in South Texas. He wants our water for these AI data centers. He wants our taxpayer funds like when he ran that crazy DOGE process, and he wants his very own personal United States senator, and that's what he thinks he can get with Ken Paxton."
