Looking at the final standings, I see Giannis' Bucks won 32 games. Steph's Warriors won 37.
I'm reminded that Tim Duncan is the ONLY player to have 50 wins or more EVERY season of his career (*1999 equates to 60) and the ONLY player to make the playoffs all 19 seasons.

@BDPeacock @CoachCrocky @BayAreaWink Crock correctly noted the Kyle 0-46 stat is skewed for narrative. Used to be when trailing by 17 b4 the 2021 win in LA. Then trailing by 7+ *entering* 4Q b4 the playoff win v GB. When they finally win such a gm it’ll be 14+ points.

@BDPeacock @CoachCrocky Crock, the NBA changed their div winner rules after the 2006 playoffs when the 60 win Mavs were the 4-seed despite the 2nd best record while the 44 win div winner Nuggets were put in the 3/6 matchup. It caused the 2 best teams to meet in rd2.

The 2014 Thunder weren’t really injured. Ibaka missed gms1&2. OKC got obliterated. He returned and they got beat the same in gm5. Then SAS, w/ Parker leaving gm6 with a bad hammy, came back to win gm6. They were a bit better that season and certainly driven by their Finals loss.

Just a note.
Healthy societies react to power grabs and authoritarian takeovers through collective action.
They don't hope saviors and messiahs or leaders will save them, because at that point the structures are so co-opted they understand it's on them.

Nihilism in disguise: Unable to find meaning or purpose in life we focus instead on cultivating enemies. Our hatred of others who are “destroying everything” becomes a passionate surrogate belief system that helps us combat our own meaninglessness.
I just want the @bomani_jones pod commentary on this.

@BDPeacock the creator of the 0-26 stat unnecessarily gilded the lily. The stat is damning w/out playing with numbers. Both Kyle playoff losses had zero 4Q points scored + blown leads of 10pts. But worth noting that JG has 9 4Q comeback wins as Niners QB.
Would like @eric_crocker analysis here.
