From the very beginning of Karen Read's campaign, she understood that in order to get people on her side, she first had to dehumanize anyone who wasn't. She had to turn real human beings into villains. Make them objects of ridicule, contempt, and hatred. Make it not only acceptable to hate them, but almost a requirement to be part of her movement. And she was extraordinarily successful. The hatred Aidan Kearney has displayed, and continues to display, toward John O'Keefe's family, the witnesses, and so many others didn't develop in a vacuum. It mirrors the contempt Karen Read herself has expressed behind closed doors. And this cannot be stressed enough: NO MATTER WHAT. NO MATTER WHAT YOU BELIEVE ABOUT THIS CASE. Speaking about parents who have lost their child in such a cruel, hateful, and disgusting manner is NEVER okay. No, FKR. THERE IS NO EXCUSE. None. Not one. You can disagree with someone. You can dislike someone. You can believe whatever you want about what happened that night. But there is a line that basic human decency should prevent you from crossing, and mocking or degrading grieving parents is so far beyond that line it's almost incomprehensible. It's heartbreaking to see these newly revealed messages between Karen Read and Aidan Kearney and realize that even John's father wasn't spared the contempt. As if this family hasn't suffered enough. As if losing their son wasn't already more pain than any parent should ever have to endure. And perhaps what makes it even more disturbing is the contrast between what was being said privately and what was being presented publicly. These are not characters in your conspiracy theory. They are human beings. They are John's family. They are people who loved him, raised him, and have had to learn how to live without him. John loved his family. It would be heartbreaking for him to witness the way the people he loved have been treated in the years since his death. Four years of cruelty. Four years of harassment. Four years of people convincing themselves that their belief in a conspiracy somehow gives them permission to abandon every shred of compassion and human decency. You do not have to agree with someone to recognize their humanity. You do not have to like someone to acknowledge their grief. And you damn sure don't have to believe what they believe to treat them with basic respect. At some point, people need to ask themselves how they became so comfortable with this level of cruelty. Because whatever you believe about Karen Read, John O'Keefe's death should never have become an excuse to dehumanize the people who loved him. And the fact that this even needs to be said is absolutely heartbreaking.

On June 5, 2023, Aidan Kearney took his defamation and intimidation campaign to a CHILDREN’S LACROSSE GAME. A children’s sporting event. A place where families should be able to sit in the stands, cheer for their kids, and enjoy a few hours of normalcy. Instead, Aidan Kearney showed up with his cameraman, Richie Koeugh (@DropMicrodots ), and turned that lacrosse field into another backdrop for his campaign against people he had decided were his targets. Minor children were there. Children watched as this man and his cameraman stood there broadcasting their version of events and spewing allegations about their family, their friends, and people they knew, respected, and cared about until they were ultimately forced to leave the stadium. Imagine being a child and watching an adult publicly attack people you love at the very place you came to play a sport. What kind of person does that? Apparently, the kind who believes nothing is off limits. Aidan Kearney has repeatedly demonstrated that there are no boundaries he won't cross when he believes there is an audience to be captured, a story to manufacture, or clicks and views to be gained. And we've seen that yet again. Most recently, Kearney publicly identified and exposed a juror who had chosen to remain private after performing one of our nation's most important civic responsibilities: serving on a jury. That juror's identity had been protected by the court, yet Kearney chose to put him in the spotlight anyway. This is bigger than one person. ✔️Witnesses should not be afraid to testify. ✔️Jurors should not be afraid to serve. ✔️Families should not be afraid to attend their children's sporting events. ✔️And ordinary people should not have to wonder what will happen to them if Aidan Kearney decides they are his next target. There should be boundaries. There should be consequences when those boundaries are crossed. And there should be absolutely no expectation that witnesses, jurors, families, or anyone else should simply sit quietly and accept being targeted because someone has built a platform around doing exactly that. Because at the end of the day, this is about what happens when a person realizes that outrage, humiliation, exposure and personal attacks generate clicks - and clicks GENERATE MONEY. We believe it is time to fight back. For four years, we have watched witnesses in the Karen Read case be harassed, threatened, doxxed, followed, humiliated, and targeted online and in real life—all because people didn’t like what they said under oath. All of them vilified and attacked because, after sitting through the evidence and deliberations, they reached conclusions that some people didn’t like. Witnesses should not have to fear what will happen to them after they testify. Jurors should not have to fear what will happen to them after they deliberate. And participating in our justice system should NEVER come with the threat of having your life destroyed by an angry online mob. You can disagree with a witness. You can disagree with a juror. You can disagree with a verdict. What you don’t get to do is terrorize people for participating in the process. Because when witnesses and jurors become targets simply for doing their civic duty, it doesn’t just hurt them—it threatens the integrity of the entire justice system. Enough is enough.
