Hopefully this is just the start of them looking back at what they have already put in and fine tuning it. Excited for it.

That's normally solved through whoever you have got the song from, if it was musicbed In my personal experience I have had this happen multiple times, I have had to stop using their platform.

Honestly I don't really speak on this kind of stuff much, but rust is a legacy game at this point, most people who watch twitch streamers know about it one way or another. I think the idea that these bigger streamers need to be brought back for viewership, is not really holding true anymore.
From a business perspective, Facepunch have already extracted a good amount of value from these streamers on the first few events they supported with drops. and I even publicly stated it was good for the game back a few years ago. However I would be surprised if the value exchange is still worth it, rather would it not be better to foster good relations with people that love and support the game year round.
I do think this catering towards people who don't like or even play the game, its a bit of an odd situation. seeing consistent complaints about people in the community not being able to get drops because streamers are not WANTING to stream the game.
I also include those who only are active/stream for events such as this and don't produce rust content outside of a monetarily incentivized drop. Someone who hasn't done anything in terms of pushing rust for the better part of a year, should be prioritized over someone who consistently promotes the game throughout the year.
The main reason these people are doing it is for copious amounts of money they make while doing it. Not for any love of the game, But that is life, I dont blame creators for taking advantage of something that is heavily benefiting them.
All this being said, I don't stream nor have I really played events for some years, outside of TRUST IN RUST (my favourite rust event, one of the most inclusive, pushing RUST creators of all types), this is just from an outside POV, I do wish smaller rust loving streamers were given more of a chance to turn their effort into something bigger.
I dont make this post to hate on anyone or cause drama, its just something I have noticed over the past few years where these creator drops started from something to empower the community and have an item in the game, to something people clearly see as a way to make a whole lot of money.

Ye I agree, I think your best bet is deep diving into the analytics, I'm fairly sure you can still find old view metrics somewhere.

YouTube is counting views differently from the 24th, basically a view counts the second someone taps your video now. So all view metrics should increase by a decent amount for everyone. This could be a reason for it.

yeah tbf I think weekly servers have been on the out for years now, game is going more towards biweekly/monthly wipes.

Im a bit different in this regard, I actually think clans are what makes rust fun, majority of them moved to modded as they had clan tables, I think this has brought back a lot of the larger clans to vanilla, which I like, however my POV is very different from the average player and I understand that.
I think clans are at the core what make rust fun, with their raiding, making the game difficult, play with friends etc, and there are servers that don't allow it Duo/trio if you wish.
This being said balance is important, this is where the upkeep changes come in, where you get some negatives to playing in a large group, whilst still making it possible.

I am actually really excited about the livestock, originally when berries were added everyone said they would be RP and pointless (same with helis), now they are a core part of the game, if its going to work in a similar way with buffs for certain pies/teas, why would I not be excited? Also the power system is great, brings new events to rust to PvP over, something we have been asking for as a community for a very long time.

Farming is a core part of the game, the number one complaint I see is how servers are dead past day one, if you can keep larger clans farming, it keeps the map active, people running around, plays to be made on them, even them raiding more for resources.
That being said any change they make will have a certain group of people crying about it, you will never please everyone in the rust community.
The Devs are cooking over the last few days, this is a fairly cool way to bring a negative to playing in a large group, no longer will you be able to afk in base as a 20 man for days on end, not interacting with the server, waiting for a raid.
In my eyes this just brings more PvP to the game, people out on land farming = PvP = More fun for everyone.
TC Upkeep based on how many players are authed! 👀 WIP, internal evaluation for now. #Rust
