.@teslasi @yunta_tsai My Dad just contacted me regarding safety critical issues that were very concerning. Not trying to bash FSD (I have 3 Junipers):
1. It didn't recognize the HOV lane was closed & they almost crashed in the arm
2. It turned right in a straight-only lane (almost hit the car next to them)
3. It crossed over 3 lanes at the last minute in the city
This was all today. They have FSD v14.3.4, software 2026.14.6.2. They were in Hurry mode, have the 2026 Model Y Juniper, and live in Houston, TX (which should be more refined with FSD but this caused them to question it).
I'm a big proponent of FSD and love using it but wanted to bring these issues to your attention since they're very critical and will dissuade others from fully adopting it.

JPMorgan after meeting with Tesla recently in Fremont:
"Tesla indicated it is intentionally holding back on adding Model Y units to the robotaxi fleet, expressing confidence in its ability to scale Cybercab in the near-term. On FSD V15, Tesla views this release as a step-change in performance, comparable to the leap from V13 to V14. The V15 upgrade encompasses seven core technologies, with ~40% of those currently being tested in the robotaxi fleet, where initial feedback has been encouraging.
Tesla continues to focus on minimizing regression in core driving functions as it introduces new functionalities to the system, and FSD V15 is seen as the primary gateway to scaling unsupervised FSD. While the current AI/HW4 stack is capable of running V15 and supporting unsupervised FSD, Tesla’s AI4.5 compute system is designed to future-proof against rising compute (~10% higher FLOPS) and memory (~2x higher) demands as robotaxi models scale and context windows expand.
Management also reiterated that the Cybercab is just the initial form factor, with additional vehicle types expected to follow as the platform evolves (citing the obovan demo from the 10/10 event as an example).
Optimus is on track for SoP in the coming months with commercial sales expected as early as 2H27. The Gen 3 unveil will be timed closer to SoP to protect competitive advantage, while the scope of Gen 4 (in terms of capability, cost, and scalability) will be informed by Gen 3 field experience."

Tesla FSD v14.3.6 – Second Drive Update
After my second drive with FSD v14.3.6, I have to say… this update is really growing on me.
The more I drive it, the more polished it feels. While my first impressions were that it was a slight improvement over 14.3.5, this drive left me feeling even more confident in the progress Tesla has made.
👍 What Stood Out
- Driving: The overall driving experience was incredibly smooth. It felt confident, predictable, and comfortable throughout the drive.
- Lane changes: Much smoother than I expected. They felt natural, and I never found myself questioning what the car was about to do.
- Navigation: So far, navigation has been excellent. I haven’t run into any of the routing quirks I experienced in previous versions, which is a promising sign.
- Confidence: This was one of the first drives where I genuinely felt comfortable letting FSD do its thing. There were several moments where I just started at my phone while the car confidently handled the drive (while still remaining responsible for supervising the vehicle).
🅿️ Parking
Parking still feels a bit hit or miss, but I did notice one trend:
Backing into parking spots worked noticeably better.
Pulling forward into spots still seems less consistent.
I’ll continue testing parking over the next several drives, but it does seem to be gradually improving.
🤔 An Interesting Observation
I’m not sure if this is just me, but it almost feels like FSD gets better the longer a software version has been available. Whether that’s because I’m becoming more familiar with its behavior, Tesla is making backend improvements, the car improves itself, or it’s simply a coincidence, I’m not sure.
I’d be curious to hear if anyone else has experienced the same thing.
✍️ Overall Thoughts
After two drives, I’m even more impressed with FSD v14.3.6 than I was initially. It’s not a revolutionary update, but it feels more polished, smoother, and confidence-inspiring than 14.3.5.
If the upcoming Summer Update builds on this foundation, I think we’re heading in a very exciting direction.
Great work to the @teslasi team! Looking forward to seeing what’s next 🤝

Tesla FSD v14.3.6 – My Review After Testing
After spending some time with FSD v14.3.6, I’d say this is a small but noticeable improvement over v14.3.5. It isn’t a groundbreaking release, but it feels a bit more refined and polished overall. Here are my observations:
👍 Improvements / Positives
- Attention monitoring: This was one of the biggest improvements I noticed. Even while driving in Mad Max mode, the system seemed to nag me less than before, making for a more natural driving experience.
- Overall smoothness: The driving experience felt more polished than v14.3.5. Nothing dramatically different, but the vehicle generally felt more confident and refined throughout the drive.
- Navigation (potential improvement): One interesting behavior I noticed was that after selecting my preferred route, FSD stuck with it even though another route briefly became one minute faster. Previously, it seemed more eager to reroute. I’m not sure if this was a one-off occurrence or an actual improvement to route selection logic, but I’ll continue monitoring it over the next several drives.
- Parking: Parking performance remains solid and feels very similar to the previous version. I still haven’t seen it attempt to pull into my garage yet, but I’m hopeful that’s something we’ll see in a future update.
👎 Areas Still Needing Work
- Curved roads: The same left-hand curve near my house still causes a brief hesitation or jitter. This behavior remains unchanged from previous versions.
- Turning smoothness: I also noticed a slight jitter while making a right turn onto a feeder road. It wasn’t severe, but it’s another reminder that there’s still room for refinement.
- Lane changes: FSD continues to wait a little longer than I’d prefer before changing lanes. It gets the job done, but I’d like to see it move over earlier in situations where traffic conditions allow. Since I was driving in Mad Max mode, this behavior may be intentional, so I’ll continue testing in other driving profiles as well.
- Garage parking: While parking remains good overall, it still doesn’t automatically pull into my garage. Hopefully that’s a capability Tesla is actively working toward with future updates.
Overall Thoughts
FSD v14.3.6 feels like a genuine step forward over v14.3.5. While there aren’t any major new capabilities that stood out, the overall experience feels smoother, more polished, and a bit more confident.
I’d currently rate this as a slight improvement rather than a major leap, which is still encouraging given Tesla’s rapid iteration cycle.
The biggest items I’d still like to see improved are:
🛣️ Eliminating the remaining jitters on curves and turns
🚗 Earlier, more natural lane changes
🏠 Automatic garage parking
🧭 Continued improvements to navigation and route planning
Overall, this is a solid update, and it’s great to see Tesla continuing to refine FSD with each release. Looking forward to seeing what the @teslasi team delivers next 🤝

.@yunta_tsai @teslasi Will the updated navigation preference make it to where it doesn’t auto reroute whenever you select a certain route?
I had to manually add a waypoint to my current route because FSD kept rerouting south instead of north (I have FSD v14.3.5)

Tesla FSD v14.3.5 – My Honest Review After Testing
After putting some miles on FSD v14.3.5, I'd call this release more of a lateral update than a major improvement. There are still some nice moments, but I didn't notice any huge leaps forward. Here's what I observed:
👍 Improvements / Positives
- Yellow light behavior: It initially applied slight braking when approaching a yellow light (~30 feet away), but correctly committed to going through instead of stopping abruptly.
- Parking: Feels very similar to the previous version. I haven't done enough parking tests yet to say whether there are meaningful improvements.
👎 Areas Still Needing Work
- Curved roads: There's still a small hesitation on the same left-hand curve near my house. It briefly jitters before continuing through the turn.
- Turn signal behavior: On one drive it didn't use the turn signal when moving into the left lane to get onto a bridge, although there was a good amount of space from the car behind me. It also skipped signaling when taking the left side of a fork shortly afterward. Interestingly, on my second drive it signaled for the bridge but still didn't signal at the fork. I'll continue testing to see if this is intentional behavior or just inconsistent.
- Lane selection: On a two-lane road, traffic in the left lane was backing up while the right lane remained open. FSD stayed in the congested left lane instead of moving over, even though there was enough space to merge.
- Stopping smoothness: Approaching stoplights still has a slight jerk right before coming to a complete stop.
- Unprotected left turns: It's still overly cautious when turning across oncoming traffic. There was plenty of room to safely complete the turn, but it hesitated long enough that I had to press the accelerator.
- Possible phantom braking: I experienced a minor phantom braking event while driving on a feeder road. There was a vehicle beside me, and FSD briefly tapped the brakes even though I couldn't identify any reason after reviewing the recording.
- Navigation: Navigation continues to be one of my biggest complaints. Instead of taking the direct right turn into Starbucks, FSD drove straight and took the long route around the parking lot. Hopefully navigation receives more attention in future releases.
✍️ Overall Thoughts
I'd currently rate FSD v14.3.5 as a lateral update rather than a significant upgrade. It's certainly not a bad release, but I also don't think it's the breakthrough many people were hoping for.
The biggest areas I'd still like Tesla to improve are:
🧭 Navigation and route planning
🅿️ Parking behavior
🚧 Better road sign/HOV lane recognition
🚦 Smoother stops and turns
🚗 More confident lane selection
That said, credit where it's due, the @teslasi team continues to iterate at an impressive pace, and every release moves us a little closer to truly unsupervised FSD. Looking forward to seeing what the next update brings 🤝
