"What I wanted to do with muscle had been accomplished with kind words." ❀️ A young Aikido student named Terry Dobson was riding a train in the suburbs of Tokyo on a drowsy spring afternoon. The car was nearly empty β€” a few housewives with kids, some old folks heading to the shops. Then the doors opened and a big, drunk laborer staggered in, bellowing curses, filthy, bloodshot, raging. He swung at a woman holding a baby. She spun into an elderly couple's laps. The couple scrambled away in terror. Dobson stood up. This was it. This was what his training was for. He was coiled, ready to drop the man the second he made a move. Then a voice called out. Hey! It was ear-splitting β€” but with a strangely joyous, lilting quality. As though you and a friend had been searching for something, and he had suddenly stumbled upon it. It was a little old man in his seventies, immaculate in his kimono. He beamed at the laborer like they shared a wonderful secret. Come here, he said. Come here and talk with me. The big man followed as if on a string. Why the hell should I talk to you? he roared. What have you been drinking? the old man asked. Sake, the laborer growled. It's none of your business. Oh, that's wonderful, the old man said. Absolutely wonderful. I love sake too. Every evening, me and my wife β€” she's seventy-six β€” we warm up a little bottle and go out to our garden. We sit on the old wooden bench and watch the sunset, and check on our persimmon tree. My great-grandfather planted it. We worried about it after the ice storms last winter, but it's done better than expected, especially given the poor soil. The drunk's face softened. His fists unclenched. Yeah, he said. I love persimmons too. And I'm sure you have a wonderful wife, the old man smiled. No, the laborer said. My wife died. And then, swaying gently with the motion of the train, this huge man began to sob. I don't have a wife. I don't have a home. I don't have a job. I'm so ashamed of myself. Dobson, standing there in his righteous young innocence, suddenly felt dirtier than the drunk. The train reached his stop. As the doors opened, he heard the old man say, Oh, that is a difficult predicament indeed. Sit down here and tell me about it. Dobson turned for one last look. The laborer was sprawled on the seat, his head resting in the old man's lap, and the old man was softly stroking his filthy, matted hair. As the train pulled away, Dobson sat down on a bench and thought: what I wanted to do with muscle had been accomplished with kind words. I had just seen Aikido tried in combat, and the essence of it was love. Told by Terry Dobson, retold by Ram Dass. πŸ™πŸ«Ά

It actually flies.
Roadster transforms in Track Mode These aero features aren't just for looks: they provide the best passive downforce package of any road car (approaching F1 levels!) with wing actuation driven by the @Tesla_Optimus actuator system

You're not my barn door or my stable keep. Nor give me any oats to feed. No dusty saddle or bit to bite, No reigns around my neck pulled tight. Less soft caress when bareback ride And run the autumn breeze in stride Detest to not be free and fly and be the wind within the sky

Your bots can communicate with build chats. Hand workloads and instructions. You save on bot use and let grok build usage do the heavy lifting. A Grok bot can command another Grok chat (like a build chat) without any API. Here's how: 1) The shared computer's browser is already signed into grok.com as the owner. 2) Get the build chat's URL (a grok.com/c/ link) from the owner and save it. 3) Send a computerUse subagent to open that URL, paste your message into the composer, send it, wait a few minutes, and report the reply verbatim. Only one computerUse can run at a time. 4) To read the chat: open the URL read-only and summarize the last few messages. 5) To pull its code: in the chat's Files pane, use the "..." menu and choose Download β€” that exports the workspace as a zip. Gotchas: the chat goes idle after each reply, so end every order with "keep going job after job, end each turn with a changelog." The tab sometimes crashes and reloads, so the message has to be sent exactly once. The chat can't run things outside its own sandbox. You can attach files from the computer through the chat's Attach button. @bot @grok @SpacexSI @elonmusk 🧠
